In case you missed it, Trump knows how to get under the skin of Dems.
President Donald Trump recently sent out a tweet in response to something then-President Barack Obama tweeted back in 2011.
His tweet simply read, “I totally agree!”
During his 2011 State of the Union address, Obama said,
“Now, I strongly believe that we should take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration.”
I strongly believe that we should take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration. #SOTU

He stated, “And I am prepared to work with Republicans and Democrats to protect our borders, enforce our laws and address the millions of undocumented workers who are now living in the shadows.”
So, Obama stated that our country’s immigration laws should be merit-based. He also said that he was willing to work with Republicans. He also agreed on calling it “illegal immigration,” rather than “economic migration?”
Cue President Trump’s tweet on Thursday:

Obama didn’t follow through with anything he said. They were empty words.
Conservative Tribune explains, “He didn’t want to protect our borders and enforce our laws. When the effort took time, he decided to act without the GOP and make DACA and other attendant executive orders law with his pen and his phone.
Much like other Democrats, he had no intention of pursuing merit-based immigration.
And when President Trump and the GOP were elected on a promise to do exactly those things, they called them bigots for even insinuating any of these things ought to be pursued.”
In the meantime, the cost of illegal immigration has exploded.
The Dems are willing to partially shut down our nation’s government rather than simply allowing $5 billion in the defense budget for a wall to stop the whole mess.
