Lindsey Graham (R) South Carolina, positioned himself as a leader in the party during the hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Graham signaled that he was simply standing up for decency, doing his best to find justice for Kavanaugh in what Chicksonright.com called “one of the most despicable smear campaigns we’ve ever seen.”
Chicksonright.com explains that during the Kavanaugh hearings, “Graham earned the nickname Lindsey 2.0 and became the focus of several memes.”
According to Illicit Info: “The problem is that Graham seems to be buying into the liberal left’s gun control movement, because it has been reported that Graham is putting together his own gun confiscation bill.”
Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham is working on a “red flag” gun bill that will incentivize states to implement their own red flag laws.
Graham told Buzzfeed News on April 4 that he would begin drafting the bill the following week, which will design exclusive grants to those states who pass extreme risk protection “red flag” gun laws.
“I’m seeking to incentivize states to produce extreme risk protective order legislation that has ample due process but also is meaningful in protecting the public from somebody who is dangerous,” said Graham.
Graham introduced a similar bill last year alongside Democrat Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who is reportedly crafting his own new version of the bill. Graham is aiming for bipartisan support with this bill, too.

Chicksonright.com explains, “If you’re working with Sen. Richard Blumenthal on a bill you know you aren’t doing something conservative. Nobody wants crazy people to have guns. But, no one wants the government taking guns from people without due process and the utmost respect for the 2nd Amendment.”
