Elder Patriot’s Opinion| The FBI claimed that it launched Operation Crossfire Hurricane to investigate “evidence” of collusion between Donald Trump, members of his campaign, and the Kremlin.
However, with the release of William Barr’s letter summarizing the Mueller Report, we know know that couldn’t possibly be true because there never was any evidence of collusion or coordination between Trump, his campaign, and Russia.
If the naysayers tell you that Barr can’t be trusted because he is Trump’s handpicked Attorney General, remind them of three things:
- Every president handpicks his Attorney General, that’s why the Senate must approve them.
- Barr actually quotes from the Mueller Report – read the underlined portion, above.
- That Mueller and his team of leakers are known to have big mouths. Surely, if Barr has misrepresented the findings in the Mueller report, one of these intrepid investigators would have had the courage to come forward on the record and challenge Barr’s summary.
Even as far back as May of 2017 the FBI’s lead investigator texted, when asked to join the special counsel’s team, “there’s no there, there.”
So what was the earlier evidence used by the FBI to justify opening a counterintelligence investigation into an American citizen?
It now appears that the FBI relied solely on opposition research, in the form of the Steele Dossier, supplied to them by the Clinton campaign.
Follow the timeline:
On July 24th, 2016, just a day before the Democratic National Convention opened, Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Manager Robby Mook began disseminating the Russian collusion narrative to the media, confident they could be counted on to run wild with it.

Or, check Duck Duck Go.
The mainstream media was up and running and suddenly a counter espionage investigation became warranted… absent a single piece of legitimate evidence.
Not to worry, the Clinton campaign was at the ready with opposition research that wasn’t worth the paper it was written on.
They labeled it a dossier – to give it some gravitas – compiled by a “former” British spy. And even though it was steaming pile of sh… crap, Obama’s butt boy and CIA Director John Brennan insisted it be attached to an Intelligence Assessment Report (IAR).
The IAR was sent as an Electronic Communication or EC.
On July 31st, 2016 the FBI launched Operation Crossfire Hurricane, the counterintelligence investigation of Donald Trump.
To recap:
July 24, 2016 – Clinton Campaign Manager Robby Mook begins aggressively seeding the press with the now discredited Trump-Russia collusion narrative. The Clinton-adoring media repeated it, endlessly.
July 25, 2016 – Democratic Convention opens providing Hillary with maximum positive exposure for herself and, with all eyes on the convention, the platform to maximize negative news (lies) about Donald Trump.
July 31, 2016 – FBI opens counterintelligence investigation of Donald Trump.
The timeline screams that Hillary’s campaign was coordinating with members of the intelligence community.
Remember when Mark Levin said that “Hillary paid for a warrant?”
As significant as that would be, she got a lot more than just a surveillance warrant for her money. The mainstream media rained down negative press on Donald Trump for more than two-and-a-half years without a shred of evidence to support her campaign manager’s claim.
There was never a shred of credible evidence of collusion. It was all about creating a false narrative for political benefit.
Kind of like they sold us this:
When what we would have been getting was this:
