Opinion| Lawrence David| In a city where political dirty tricks have become the coin of the realm, attempting to create a predicate to justify removing a sitting president has to be a new low. The fact that this is the second bite at that poisonous apple suggests a level of desperation that bears scrutiny.
Investigative reporter Paul Sperry writing for RealClearInvestigations has identified the gossip monger come whistleblower whose second-hand account Adam Schiff used to start the latest impeachment scam against President Trump.
Sperry’s research reveals it’s the same weasel who worked closely with the Democrat dirty-trickster Alexandra Chalupa coordinating the Ukrainian effort to find/create dirt on then-candidate Donald Trump for the benefit of Hillary Clinton.
That was in 2016. Today, the same weasel is abusing his government position in an attempt to damage Donald Trump’s chances for being re-elected by scheming with House Intel Chairman Adam Schiff.
(RCI) “… Federal documents reveal that the 33-year-old [Eric] Ciaramella, a registered Democrat held over from the Obama White House, previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan, a vocal critic of Trump who helped initiate the Russia “collusion” investigation of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.
Further, Ciaramella (pronounced char-a-MEL-ah) left his National Security Council posting in the White House’s West Wing in mid-2017 amid concerns about negative leaks to the media. He has since returned to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.
“He was accused of working against Trump and leaking against Trump,” said a former NSC official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters.
Ciaramella agreed to sign on as a whistleblower despite having no first-hand knowledge of the phone call between President Trump and Ukraine President Zelensky that he contended was so alarming.
Also, Ciaramella huddled for “guidance” with the staff of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, including former colleagues also held over from the Obama era whom Schiff’s office had recently recruited from the NSC. (Schiff is the lead prosecutor in the impeachment inquiry.)
No one has established exactly when Ciaramella and Schiff, or members of Schiff’s staff met for the first time which may be the reason that Schiff has cut-off all lines of questioning that could possibly lead to Ciaramella during his secret hearings.
Was Ciaramella put up to filing a whistleblower complaint by the powerful head of the House Intelligence Committee?
Was the whistleblower complaint form altered before or after the whistleblower first met with Schiff or his staff?
Was the complaint form altered specifically to allow for this particular whistleblower to kick-start the Pelosi/Schiff impeachment scheme?
These are important questions that need to be answered.
Someone powerful had to have convinced Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson to suddenly and secretly change its whistleblower forms and internal rules in September to eliminate a requirement that whistleblowers provide first-hand evidence to support any allegations of wrongdoing…
(CTH) After the 2018 mid-terms, and in preparation for the “impeachment” strategy, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler hired Lawfare group members to become House committee staff.
Chairman Schiff hired former SDNY U.S. Attorney Daniel Goldman (link), and Chairman Nadler hired Obama Administration lawyer Norm Eisen and criminal defense attorney Barry Berke (link). House Speaker Nancy Pelosi then hired Douglas Letteras House General Counsel – all are within the Lawfare network.
After Goldman, Eisen, Berke and Letter were hired in late 2018, Pelosi then went about changing the Rules of the House in January ’19. Few were paying attention until recently.
In the last month many people have surmised that Pelosi and Schiff moved to utilize the Ukraine/NSC impeachment angle *after* the Mueller angle for impeachment ran into trouble. However, CTH research (widely criticized in 2018) doesn’t reflect the Whistle-blower impeachment plan as an ‘add-on’. Instead, what we see is the use of the HPSCI; and the use of embeds within National Security Council staff; by design. The Schiff events of today were always part of a prior planned design.
What Pelosi/Schiff et al have assembled is a format for a highly controlled public spectacle prior to a predetermined transfer of evidence to Jerry Nadler (Judiciary). With the intent to construct a pantomime for public absorption in mind, the rules are written for maximum narrative construction. [ex. Lawfare lawyers will question witnesses] – (CTH)
Adam Schiff’s connections to the whistleblower (Ciaramella?), however deep or shallow they turn out to be, makes him a fact witness in this case and should disqualify him from leading the impeachment inquiry.
(Sperry continued) And Ciaramella worked with a Democratic National Committee operative who dug up dirt on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, inviting her into the White House for meetings, former White House colleagues said. The operative, Alexandra Chalupa, a Ukrainian-American who supported Hillary Clinton, led an effort to link the Republican campaign to the Russian government. “He knows her. He had her in the White House,” said one former co-worker, who requested anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.
If anyone ever should be recused, Adam Schiff has made himself the posterboy for recusal.
There should be little reason to question why Schiff is running this sham investigation of President Trump in a SCIF in the basement of the Capitol and shutting down any questions that he finds inconvenient to the treacherous narrative that he’s working to establish.
