OPINION From Elder Patriot – It’s becoming increasingly difficult to continue crediting the Democratic Party as a constitutionally legitimate political operation as I see it. At least not in an open and free society.
Seems to me, that they are running on a platform that Karl Marx would applaud. We have watched the Democrats’ socialist agenda evolve slowly over time until now.
Many of today’s leading Democratic presidential candidates are embracing nationalized healthcare (some even for including for illegals), ‘free’ college, a guaranteed minimum wage, and confiscatory tax rates.
According to legend, socialist Norman Thomas predicted this would happen. (We are not saying
thomas did in fact say this, we are just pointing out how it seems to have come to be regardless of if he said it or not)
Snopes tells us that Thomas never said this but what difference does that make? Whether Thomas said it or not, doesn’t make it any less true.
More importantly, throughout history the imposition of socialism has seemingly, if not always, nearly always, descended into jackbooted justice administered by tyrants who find it necessary to tamp down the public’s resistance to the tightening economic noose that inevitably results.
Already we are seeing that historical fact becoming reality with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (second in line to the presidency after Vice President Pence), Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden (former VP and first in line to the presidency and running to become president), and impeachment chairman Adam Schiff.
Last Tuesday, with President Trump’s poll numbers soaring, Speaker Pelosi announced she was opening an impeachment inquiry of the president.
Fair enough. But she refused to put it to a vote of the full House, ostensibly to protect herself from being voted down by members of her own party.
What this means more broadly is that a single U.S. Rep. (Pelosi) from perhaps the most radical district in the country is attempting to override the will of the country’s electorate, writ large.

By proceeding in this manner, it seems to me that, she can exclude House Republicans from the process and engineer the narrative most damaging to President Trump for craven members of the press to repeat as though it’s based on facts.
Yesterday, “Quid-Pro-Joe’ (H/T CTH) allegedly demanded that President Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani be silenced by U.S. media outlets. Defending the POTUS is apparently now off limits.
Previously Joe Biden [allegedly] demanded the Ukraine government shutdown the investigation of his son and fire the Ukrainian prosecutor. Today Joe Biden duplicates this behavior by demanding American media shut down any discussion about his corrupt Ukrainian influence campaign. (read more)
Assuming that the reporting about Biden’s quid pro quo demand of Ukraine’s president is not fake news or out of context, imagine for a second the reaction if this was Donald Trump talking about a prosecutor who was investigation his Don Jr.
“I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’”
“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired.
Then there’s Adam Schiff, who had repeatedly lied about having evidence of Trump-Russia collusion that he never produced.
Having failed to make that connection, Schiff has moved on to collusion 2.0, this time accusing Trump of extorting Ukraine’s president.
The problem for Schiff, and all of the impeachment crazed Democrats, came when President Trump undermined their plan by releasing a transcript of the phone call between President Trump and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that had become the subject of a, imho, partisan whistleblower’s complaint.
Setting the alleged whistleblower’s bias aside, the so-called whistleblower admits to having no first-hand knowledge of the call.
What to do? Lie. Something Schiff has mastered in my view.
Schiff literally read into the official record, and before millions of viewers watching on television, a totally fictitious version of the telephone conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenshyy. The way he acted it out likely let many believing it was the actual transcript of the call between Trump and Ukraine.
Schiff seemingly ignored the fact that the transcript of that call had been released hours earlier by the White House under orders of President Trump and proceeded to paint the president as a crime boss:
Schiff: “We’ve been very good to your country. Very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what? I don’t see much reciprocity here. I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from YOU though. And I’m going to say this only seven times so you better listen good.
“I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it.
“On this and on that. I’m gonna put you in touch with people and not just any people.
I’m going to put you with the attorney general of the United States, my attorney general Bill Barr. He’s got the whole weight of the American law enforcement behind him.”
“And I’m gonna put you in touch with Rudy, you’re gonna love him, trust me.”
You know what I’m asking, so I’m only going to say this a few more times, in a few more ways. And by the way don’t call me again. I’ll call you when you’ve done what I’ve asked.”
Of course this story wouldn’t be complete without Schiff’s own record of attempting to receive foreign interference, would it?

The plan is clear. It has been since before Donald Trump was inaugurated. Find a way, any way, to remove him from office.
The way I see it, the Democrats are not sitting idly by waiting for the IG/Durham hammers to drop.
Their shredding of the Constitution through the weaponization of agencies and departments of the U.S. government (and foreign governments) runs deep and holds the potential to incriminate every high-ranking Democrat in both houses of congress.
That level of desperation has led to,what I believe to be, outright lies about evidence, and from unidentified partisan “witnesses,” against the president.
There’s one other thing tyrants want. That is to protect themselves from the consequences of their governance. That translates to gun control.
