Increasingly, the search for a crime that, I believe and my analysis of the evidence suggests, doesn’t exist is becoming obvious to the public as well as to members of her own congressional caucus.
The failure of the Pelosi-led Congress to get any meaningful legislation through the House that is beneficial for working Americans, is becoming ever more obvious to voters and swing-district Democrats.
(Politico) Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic leaders will hold off on a full House vote authorizing an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, according to multiple lawmakers and aides.
[…]
House Democratic leaders quietly reached out to the most vulnerable members of their caucus to gauge whether they would support a formal vote to authorize an impeachment inquiry against Trump, according to multiple Democratic aides.
House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn’s (D-S.C.) office lead the outreach effor, and the issue was discussed at a closed-door leadership meeting.
[…] The idea has been met with anxiety among some of the battleground Democrats, who fear it could distract from the agenda, according to multiple aides.
You can ignore the part in the last line that references an agenda. The agenda from Day 1 has been to impeach President Trump.
There is no other agenda for House Democrats, as evidenced by their determination to block any legislative initiative that might give the president a win on one of his agenda items.
Speaker Pelosi appears desperate to keep hidden, or to nullify in the minds of voters, the crimes of the Obama-Biden-Clinton administration.
An honest politician with nothing to hide would welcome a complete public airing of everything currently being alleged… by both sides.
Let the people see Democrats examine witnesses at Adam Schiff’s faux inquiry hearings. And, let’s see how those witnesses hold up under cross-examination by Republicans.
And, while we’re at it, let’s bring Rudy Giluiani in for sworn testimony.
And lets broadcast it to a nationwide audience, rather than allow Democrats to destroy his credibility using cherry-picked partisan testimony, gathered behind closed doors, and then disseminated to the Mockingbird media.
It’s looking more and more likely that the public will soon be the ones forced into deciding between believing impeachment-minded Democrats or President Trump and his Attorney General William Barr.
When making their decision they should remember who has been responsible for:
-The $22 trillion in debt amassed under President Obama with the help of his congressional accomplices.
-The growth and funding of sanctuary cities and its effect on crime, costs, and homelessness.
-The failure to secure our borders.
-The shuttering of our factories and the attendant loss of jobs that is finally being reversed.
-The significant increase in employment opportunities and real wages American workers are now enjoying.
A Time for Choosing
For almost two centuries we have proved man’s capacity for self-government, but today we are told we must choose between a left and right or, as others suggest, a third alternative, a kind of safe middle ground.
I suggest to you there is no left or right, only an up or down. Up to the maximum of individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism; and regardless of their humanitarian purpose those who would sacrifice freedom for security have, whether they know it or not, chosen this downward path. – Ronald Reagan
