Opinion| Lawrence David| When evaluating the findings of Inspector General Michael Horowitz, there’s really only one voice that matters. It isn’t the Deep State apologists in the mainstream media or even present and former FBI directors.
The one voice that matters is that of U.S. Attorney General William Barr who will ultimately make the decision on who, and who doesn’t, get prosecuted.
A.G. Barr didn’t skirt the issue either releasing a statement immediately upon the IG Report becoming public:
“The Inspector General’s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken.
It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was constantly exculpatory.”
