AG Bill Barr and his handpicked investigator John Durham US Attorney from Connecticut have expanded their investigation til it now includes other agencies besides the FBI and the DOJ. He also stated that it includes “private players.”
The term private players could mean many different things. In this particular case it could include members of the press, the DNC and the Hillary campaign.
It could also include Christopher Steele, his sources and Hillary’s hitmen Cody Shearer and Sidney Blumenthal. It sounds like they are going after everyone.
We expected the investigation to include several intelligence agencies and individuals such as the CIA, John Brennan, the DNI and James Clapper.
We know that Clapper and Brennan were targets just by the number of times that Barr and Durham have traveled overseas to meet with the intelligence agencies in several different countries suspected of interference in our elections.
One interesting note is they could be going after Hillary. It is illegal to hire foreign nationals to work for your campaign, but she is the one, along with the DNC who hired Christopher Steele to compile the dossier.
They could also go after Hillary pales Blumenthal and Cody Shearer.
In case you didn’t know, Blumenthal and Shearer were the ones assigned to smear Bill Clinton’s accusers.
Attorney General William Barr provided new details Wednesday of U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation of the origins of the Trump-Russia probe and said in an interview on Fox News that the federal prosecutor is looking into the activities of federal agencies outside the FBI, as well as those of “private actors.”
“He’s not just looking at the FBI,” Barr said of Durham. “He’s looking at other agencies … and also private actors, so it’s a much broader investigation.”
Barr tapped Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, in May to investigate federal agencies’ surveillance and investigative activities related to the Trump campaign. Durham’s probe has run parallel to a Justice Department inspector general’s investigation into the FBI’s surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
