Opinion| Speculation| Lawrence David| Michigan is one of the “decidedly blue” states that Donald Trump carried in 2016 on his way to an electoral victory. Michigan is now considered a swing state, one the Democrats absolutely have to carry if they are to have any chance at retaking the presidency.
That’s what makes this story from the Hill so concerning.
Hundreds of counties, cities and towns in Michigan do not have election clerks who are accredited to run elections, an audit released Friday has found.
Local election clerks did not meet legal training requirements in 32 counties, 83 cities and 426 townships, a report from the office of Michigan’s auditor general found.
The auditor general’s review also identified 12 counties, 38 cities and 290 townships in which the clerk did not meet the requirements and no other official had gotten full accreditation either.
Five hundred and forty-one municipalities whose election clerks are not accredited to run elections. What could possibly go wrong?
For the answer we only need to remember the 2016 election when voting machines in more than one-third of all Detroit’s precincts – 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent – tabulated more ballots than the entire number of registered voters in those precincts.
Democrats were able to pull that off under the watchful eye of Republican governor Rick Snyder. Trump supporters can only hope that the current governor, Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, will be as vigilant.
The results of the audit are not encouraging.
We have watched Democrats desperately try everything in their power to remove President Trump from office, why should we now have any confidence in Whitmer?
Remember this is the same party that allegedly hired Robert Creamer to manufacture, orchestrate, and carry out widespread voter fraud during the 2016 cycle.
James O’Keefe of Project Veritas actually caught Creamer, and his associate Scott Foval on a video, admitting to their seditious criminality.
“Honestly the ripest environment to do it in? Two, within striking distance. Michigan, Indiana.”
It is important to remember this is speculation, we are just connecting the dots we see. What do these facts tell you?
