Opinion| Mark Sidney| I have to confess, it has been a long time since I watched Chris Wallace On TV.
However, after learning about the speech he just made at the ‘Celebrating the First Amendment and the Newseum’ event, I just could not ignore it’s absurdity.
Apparently Wallace thinks it is the President’s job to sit back and let a weaponized, mouthpiece for the leftist authoritarian arm of the IC/DS, destroy his Presidency, and thus the will of the American people.
Unfortunately for Wallace, and luckily for us, Donald Trump is no one’s bitch.
The media has been decidedly against Trump since the moment he announced he would be running for President. Perhaps the reason Trump is critical of the ‘media’ is because of their over the top bias.
I can hear the Democrats now, ‘what bias, conspiracy theorist?’
Funny you ask, THIS BIAS:
‘President Donald Trump received 92 percent negative coverage from the major broadcast news networks this summer, according to a study conducted by the Media Research Center. MRC reviewed every single evening news story about the president on ABC, CBS, and NBC between June 1 to September 3, accounting for just under 2,000 minutes of airtime.’ –The Daily Caller
Wallace, had the balls to claim that “I believe that President Trump is engaged in the most direct sustained assault on freedom of the press in our history.”

Wallace’s speech was reported by the Guardian:
…“I believe that President Trump is engaged in the most direct sustained assault on freedom of the press in our history,” Wallace said to applause at the Newseum, a media museum in Washington, on Wednesday night.
“He has done everything he can to undercut the media, to try and delegitimise us, and I think his purpose is clear: to raise doubts when we report critically about him and his administration that we can be trusted. Back in 2017, he tweeted something that said far more about him than it did about us: ‘The fake news media is not my enemy. It is the enemy of the American people.’”
Wallace recalled that retired admiral Bill McRaven, a navy Seal for 37 years, had described Trump’s sentiment as maybe “the greatest threat to democracy in my lifetime” because, unlike even the Soviet Union or Islamic terrorism, it undermines the US constitution.
The veteran broadcaster added: “Let’s be honest, the president’s attacks have done some damage. A Freedom Forum Institute poll, associated here with the Newseum, this year found that 29% of Americans, almost a third of all of us, think the first amendment goes too far. And 77%, three quarters, say that fake news is a serious threat to our democracy.”
This is kind of funny, funny like a rubber crutch. I know Wallace was just boy during Lincoln’s Presidency (that’s a joke), so I guess we can forgive him forgetting this:
‘During the Civil War the federal government was responsible for the greatest amount of newspaper suppression in the nation’s history. More than 300 newspapers were shut down, most of them Democratic papers that were sympathetic to the Confederacy. Some historians have criticized President Abraham Lincoln for allowing such widespread constraints on the press.’ – David Bulla
That’s how credible Chris Wallace is.
The Newseum tweeted Wallace’s warning to reporters, ““We are not participants in what we cover, we are observers trying to be objective witnesses. We shouldn’t be drawn into taking sides. We’re not as good at it & we’re abandoning the special role that was created for us in this democracy,” – Chris Wallace, anchor, @FoxNewsSunday”

‘The same day Wallace trashed Trump, Fox News Sunday announced Wallace will be interviewing Trump antagonists Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA)–the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee who is leading the impeachment of Trump–and former FBI Director James Comey who was fired by Trump.’ The Gateway Pundit noted.
I wish that Hannity, Carlson, Judge Jeanine, Jessie Watters, Lou Dobbs, and a handful of others would just create their own network and cut the Murdoch’s, and their crony capitalistic tactics, out of the equation.
The further left Fox moves, the more people will switch the channel to One America News. OAN, or OANN, does a great job of representing the interests of proud Americans.
I find myself thinking, if these globalists are willing to destroy these huge corporations all for political ends, there is something much, MUCH BIGGER at stake.
