Just In: Trump’s Top Ally, Rep Mark Meadows, Is Leaving Congress – Takes On A New Role In The Quest To K A G

Syndicated Via National File| KIM COULTER |After rallying behind Trump over impeachment, Mark Meadows went public with his decision to not pursue a fifth term in Congress.

Mark Meadows, a four-term congressman R- N.C. Has made the announcement that he will not be going after another term in Congress despite his alliance and rallying behind President Donald J. Trump.

After four terms, and two years as Chairman of the House of Freedom Caucus during the beginning of the Trump Presidency, with the guidance of his family, he has decided to move on from what he has long considered and vocally represented as a “temporary job.”

Meadows announces, “For everything there is a season. After prayerful consideration and discussion with family, today I’m announcing that my time serving Western North Carolina in Congress will come to a close at the end of this term,” Meadows said. “This was a decision I struggled with greatly.”

This comes as no shock to those who have followed Meadow’s time as a congressman. It is likely that he will wind up in the Trump Administration, as rumors circulate about him potentially becoming Chief of Staff.

“My work with President Trump and his administration is only beginning,” said Meadows. “This President has accomplished incredible results for the country in just 3 years, and I’m fully committed to staying in the fight with him and his team to build on those successes and deliver on his promises for the years to come.

“I’ve always said Congress is a temporary job, but the fight to return Washington, DC to its rightful owner, We The People, has only just begun.”

Despite speculation, Meadows future plans are not encompassing the potential of offering up a bid for Senate in 2022 when Senator Richard Burr R- N.C. plans to retire.

Meadows still offered up his two cents on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell over the Kentucky Republican’s early management related to a Senate impeachment trial.

“I’m very confident that Leader McConnell will move properly. Maybe that’s the biggest headline,” Meadows said before offering up his own headline.

“Past Freedom Caucus chairman supports Leader McConnell in an unequivocal manner.”
