Lara Logan, the former “60 Minutes” reporter, came down hard on New York Media, filing a 25 million dollar lawsuit over their report that downplayed an incident of sexual assault she faced, and allegedly made false statements about her report on the Benghazi incident.
The article in New York magazine, written by Joe Hagan, was titled “Benghazi and the Bombshell,” and by inference, it seemingly referred to Ms. Logan as the “bombshell.”
“The headline reference to ‘Bombshell’ was both sexist, insulting and defamatory at the same time. The word was intended to portray Logan as a dangerous and untouchable and incendiary reporter.”
Ms. Logan added that the sexual assault she faced when she was reporting in Egypt was misrepresented. She said, then, and now, that she was a gang-rape victim, whereas the report called it “groping.”
Additionally, the suit alleges that Hagan’s false report cost her a ton of money.
“But for the Hagan Hit Piece, Logan would have earned more than $2,150,000 per year as a ’60 Minutes’ correspondent.”
During an interview with Sean Hannity back in February, she told him that because she didn’t follow the preferred liberal narrative in the report, she felt as if she was targeted by the news media for her nonconformity.
She said,
“They smear you personally. “They go after your integrity. They go after your reputation as a person and a professional. They will stop at nothing.”
And:
“I am not the only one. And I am just, I am done, right, I am tired of it. And they do not get to write my story anymore. They don’t get to speak for me, I want to say loudly and clearly to anybody who is listening, I am not owned. Nobody owns me, right? I’m not owned by the left or the right.”

It goes to show you that being Fake News is nothing new to the mainstream media. The liberal narrative has been ramping up for many years, but it took the “upstart” in the Oval Office to shine a spotlight on their bias.
If a report doesn’t match the narrative they want to hear, they do their best to drown out any opposition, and as Ms. Logan says, they will stop at NOTHING until they get what they want.
