They couldn’t be trusted in the old Soviet Union. They are showing inHong Kong that they can’t be trusted there. And now, Virginia’s far-left governor is about to show just how radicalized his Democrat Party has become.
When we last saw Virginia Governor Ralph Northam leftists were desperately trying to ignore the overtly racist live-birth abortionist. Yeah, he’s really that despicable.
Today, Northam and his Michael Bloomberg-bought allies in the General Assembly have appropriated $250,000 to the Corrections Special Reserve for the increase in the operating cost of adult correctional facilities resulting from the enactment” gun control measures.
This includes “violations” stemming from a ban on commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms, the criminalization of private firearms transfers, and gun confiscation orders issued without due process.
This should scare every American who cherishes their constitutional protections. Absent the right to bear arms, no other right is defensible.
This is the slippery slope.
Consider where we are today against the warning of the Father of the Constitution, James Madison:
They now have a standing army. They have achieved an enslaved press. And, they are moving to disarm us.
Freedom loving Americans must rally behind those Virginians organizing against Northam’s confiscation plans and in defense of their Second Amendment guarantee:
Only a tyrant can find a different meaning in the words; “The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
Americans should remember the stand that a few dozen armed patriots defending the Bundy’s ranch, took against the overreach of Obama’s Bureau of Land Management for confirmation that the government, like every other bully, will back down when confronted.
Does anyone think any politician would dare to confront 100,000 well-armed Virginians if they took part in a similar show of defiance?
Virginia was once a proud freedom loving state. Thomas Jefferson was perhaps the proudest Virginian:
