The far-left geniuses at Harvard have devised a plan to eliminate the Electoral College by dividing Washington, DC into 127 states, thus wiping out the Electoral College.
How can you admit one city into the union with 127 separate states?
That is insane. Why not divide Wyoming into 127 states?
Wyoming has a bigger population than DC, and with the Senate gaining 252 new Republican Senators, there is no need for an Electoral College because Republicans would own the government for the next millennium.
Of course, the entire idea is ludicrous and could never be approved, but you have to wonder what kind of drug-fueled party they were having when they stumbled across this idea.
Surely, no one in their right mind could come up with such an idea.
The population of Washington, DC is just 705,749.
You do the math.
That would mean the average state would have a population of 5,557 people.
The study states:
“For most of the twenty-first century, the world’s oldest surviving democracy has been led by a chief executive who received fewer votes than his opponent in an election for the position. The first of these executives started a war based on false pretenses that killed hundreds of thousands of civilians. The second — a serial abuser of women who hired as his campaign manager a lobbyist for violent dictatorships — authorized an immigration policy that forcibly separated migrant children from their families and indefinitely detained them in facilities described as ‘concentration camps.’ ”
Let me point out that in 2016, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote because of only California.
Trump won the popular vote in the other 49 states.
In 2012, Barack Obama won the popular vote because of New York and California.
Do we really want a country where just one out of 50 states can actually decide the presidential election?
However, liberals love the idea as long as it’s California that decides.
