Iranian dictator, and all-around not-so-nice guy, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei took to social media on Wednesday to taunt the United States, and especially President Donald Trump, that the US was powerless to respond to Iran’s attacks against American contractors, soldiers, and diplomats:
“That guy has tweeted that we see Iran responsible for the events in Baghdad & we will respond to Iran.
1st: You can’t do anything.
2nd: If you were logical —which you’re not— you’d see that your crimes in Iraq, Afghanistan… have made nations hate you.”

By Thursday, or Friday morning local time, US forces had taken out Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in Iraq, who was thought to be behind the recent attacks in Iraq on our embassy, and responsible for hundreds of American deaths in that country over the past several years. He was the military leader of Iran’s Quds force, a terrorist group. Soleimani was responsible for propping up Hezbollah forces in foreign countries like Lebanon and Syria, and militias in Iraq and Yemen.
It looks like “that guy” just took out your top military terrorist, you loser.
Trump responded to the Iranian regime with a tweet after an Iranian-backed militia stormed the US embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.
“Iran will be held fully responsible for lives lost, or damage incurred, at any of our facilities. They will pay a very BIG PRICE! This is not a Warning, it is a Threat. Happy New Year!”

Khamenei dismissed the threat, pretty much laughed it off, as did Iranian military leaders. The head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Hossein Salami said the following:
“We are not leading the country to war, but we are not afraid of any war, and we tell America to speak correctly with the Iranian nation. We have the power to break them several times over and are not worried.”
I wonder if they’re worried now?
That lack of worry may have actually contributed to security lapses on Thursday, when a US airstrike, on President Trump’s orders, took out Soleimani and a local militia leader traveling with him. The strike waited until the terrorist general was in a vehicle to minimize deaths around him. This is as big as OBL and al Baghdadi, regardless of what the Democrats are currently saying. This was huge, and the world is a much safer place today.
The Commander-in-Chief gave a simple reply:
