Opinion| Mark Sidney| I hate to say it, but I think we all knew that this was bound to happen sooner or later. Quite frankly I am shocked that it did not happen sooner.
We have all seen the videos of rabid mobs of ANTIFA, or ANTIFA styled ‘black block’ punks in their all black garb and face coverings savagely beating men and women in disgusting gang attacks.
We have also seen some BLM ‘activists’ participate in the same gang styled violence.
I would venture to guess some on the right have engaged in similar attacks, though I am yet to see video of such. The videos I have seen show like minded citizens pulling aggressors off the leftist victims when it’s clear they are no longer a threat.
However, up until today, we have all been wondering the same thing, when will the mob do this to someone who is legally armed, who in turn, has no choice but to defend him or herself with their firearm?
I suppose that we got the answer to that question a few hours ago.
The Chicago Tribune is reporting that:
‘A 31-year-old man has been arrested in a shooting that happened as protesters in New Mexico’s largest city tried to tear down a bronze statue of a Spanish conquistador outside the Albuquerque Museum, police said Tuesday.
The shooting occurred near a Monday night confrontation between protesters and a group of armed men to protect the statue of Juan de Oñate before protesters wrapped a chain around it and began tugging on it while chanting: “Tear it down.” One protester repeatedly swung a pickax at the base of the statue.
Moments later, a few gunshots rang out down the street and people yelled that someone had been shot.’
That’s the MSM’s narrative of the events, now take a look at the video and think about how you would describe what happened:
The video posted on Twitter by John Cardillo claims to show:

Cardillo goes on to state that:
‘If this man is illegally charged, I will donate to his defense fund.’
Get ready to open your wallet John, because if what is happening to the statue is any indication, this man is going to be in deep trouble for, what appears, from this angle to be, him defending himself.
The Chicago Tribune went on to say that:
‘The shooting prompted the city to announce that the statue would be removed until officials determine the next steps.”
What is the lesson here kids? Defending yourself from the mob is now illegal and illegal acts of vandalism will result in success for your cause.
America has lost her spine and we are seeing literal mobs and gangs running roughshod over society, with the police in a defensive posture, thanks to the media and, what appears to me to be, a concerted effort to topple American civil society and force the nation into a bloody civil war.
I hate to see anyone get hurt, but from what I can see this man was leaving the area, trying to get away, after being hit in the head with a skateboard and attacked by a mob, when he was jumped again. This is when shots rang out. What was he supposed to do? Let himself get beat to death?
Every human being has the God given right to defend themsleves, and make no mistake, if attacked most will take full advantage of that right.
UPDATE: Tough to watch video of the aftermath of the shooting has emerged.
Again, it appeared this man had no choice but to open fire in self defense. This video shows why NEVER using your gun, unless you have no other chance for survival is always the best option.
