Rich Welsh| Opinion| Based on a memo by former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, which was later confirmed by fired and disgraced former FBI Director James Comey, Joe Biden was in attendance at the January 5, 2017 meeting where President Barack Obama gave directions to Comey about the way to brief President-elect Donald Trump about Russia.
That whole operation was a sting and not a briefing because when Comey left the meeting, he went straight to his vehicle and began recording what he and Trump talked about. He wasn’t there to brief the incoming president, rather, he went there to get Trump to say something he could use against him later on. Despicable!
There’s speculation now that the product of that meeting is what caused Christopher Steele to wipe all of his emails concerning his phony dossier.
Rice’s memo, which was written on Jan. 20, 2017, which turns out to be her very last day in the administration, chronicled that the meeting did take place, and disclosed that Obama, Biden, Comey, Rice, and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates attended.
Later, Rice sent an email to herself, something that an 8-year-old would do, telling herself that Obama told Comey to do everything “by the book.” She thought sending herself an email would protect her from legal actions as if that would be exculpatory evidence to prove that she and the other criminals did nothing wrong. “I read that! Well, first I wrote it, and then I read it. I believe everything I read.” #EyeRoll
Comey, like a dope, later told MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace details of the meeting in a lecture at the 92nd Street Y in December 2018. Someone should tell the former FBI director that he has the right to remain silent and that he should start exercising it.
Wallace asked Comey in regards to the infamous January 6, 2017 meeting at the Trump Tower, the place he briefed the President-elect concerning the existence of a “dossier” compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele, which included “salacious and unverified” information. That dossier was fully debunked as garbage but was leaked to the media and published by Buzzfeed and CNN.
Comey informed Wallace that the key meeting had been the day before, on Jan. 5, at the Oval Office, when he was given his directive from Obama about the way to “brief” team Trump about what was identified about Russian attempts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. And Biden WAS IN THE MEETING AS WELL:
“We came up January the 6th, the Friday, to brief the president-elect and his incoming team. The day before, we had been in the Oval Office with President Obama and his senior team. … And we went to brief him and General [James] Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, briefed President Obama and Vice President Biden, and laid it all out. … And then General Clapper said, “There’s some additional material, that is of a difficult nature, and we’ve decided that we have to brief the incoming president about it; it involves sexual allegations, an allegation that he was involved with prostitutes in Moscow, that images of that were captured by the Russians, so they’d be in position to coerce the incoming president, and we think we have to tell the incoming president. And President Obama looked at General Clapper straight ahead, and said to him, “What’s the plan for that briefing?” And Clapper looks at me and goes, “Well, Jim is gonna do it.” [Laughter] … President Obama turned slightly, without changing his facial expression, to me, and raised and lowered both eyebrows, like a Groucho Marx thing. And in that moment, I heard, in my head, “You poor bastard.” … So the next day, we’re up here, at Trump Tower …”
Comey’s account puts Biden at the meeting where the outgoing administration schemed to plant the key piece of evidence on the phony “Russia collusion” narrative, of which the investigation into Flynn was just one piece.
Biden, in fact, confirmed on January 12, 2017, after the phony dossier was leaked, that he and Obama had been briefed concerning the salacious contents of the Steele dossier.
Now we have Biden running for the highest office in the land, and he was knowingly involved in the first attempted government coup in our nation’s history.
To this day the mainstream media have yet to ask Biden anything about the decision to send Comey to brief/entrap Trump at that Trump Tower meeting, or on what he knew about leaks sent afterward to create the “Russia collusion” lie.
However the developing details of the story put Biden in a key position to know about the FBI’s activities, actions that later led to Lt. General Mike Flynn being questioned, apparently under false pretenses, at the White House. Remember, Comey bragged about sending the FBI agents to the White House to sting him.
