On Thursday, Michael Freeman, the Hennepin County Attorney investigating the involvement of Minneapolis law enforcement officer in the death of George Floyd, stated that some evidence in the case doesn’t support criminal charges against the cops.
“That video is graphic and horrific and terrible and no person should do that,” Freeman said in a press conference. “But my job, in the end, is to prove that he violated a criminal statute, and there’s other evidence that does not support a criminal charge.”

Then there must be some really magical evidence that popped up because the world saw the video that went viral where the officer was kneeling on Floyd’s neck for between 6 to 8 minutes. We know Floyd had his hands cuffed behind his back. There were multiple officers on him (you didn’t see the other two cops holding down the rest of Floyd’s body in the viral video because the view was obstructed by the police vehicle).
I’m sorry, but every police outfit across the country knows that when the suspect is in handcuffs and is not resisting, it’s over. The fight for everyone’s protection is over. The officers should have moved Floyd into a police vehicle at that point. What the heck were they waiting for? Why did they subdue him that way for so long?
But, wait! What’s this?
After the sheer chaos his statement created, Freeman is now saying he was misinterpreted. I don’t know how you can misinterpret:
“But my job, in the end, is to prove that he violated a criminal statute, and there’s other evidence that does not support a criminal charge.”
“I will not rush to justice,” he then added.
Shortly after Freeman’s statement, the Minnesota prosecutor’s office issued “clarification” concerning his press conference, stating that it’s “critical to review all the evidence.”
In a separate statement, Erica MacDonald, the US Attorney of the District of Minnesota, said her agency is probing whether or not the police officers committed any federal violations.
“Police officers, by the nature of their job, have the authority to use a certain amount of force when they are executing their duties faithfully and honestly and in accordance with their policies. So a police officer, a law enforcement officer, has the ability to use the right amount of force, but not excessive force, not excessive force as defined by the law. That is what we are looking at with respect to any federal, criminal violation, is that use of excessive force,” MacDonald said.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on Thursday signed an executive order activating the National Guard in response to protests over the Minneapolis police-involved death of George Floyd.
Walz stated he issued the order at the request of local leaders who called on the state government for National Guard resources after “extensive damage to private property” occurred in the course of the protests.
“As governor, I will always defend the right to protest,” Walz said. “It is how we express pain, process tragedy, and create change. That is why I am answering our local leaders’ request for Minnesota National Guard assistance to protect peaceful demonstrators, neighbors, and small businesses in Minnesota.”
The Democrats who run Minnesota, and especially the city of Minneapolis, seem resolute to allow everything to burn down. How else can you explain the dumbest and most asinine and counterproductive statement that could be said at this time, with riots going on by people who clearly do not trust the system, emanating from the mouth of Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, who is, you guessed it, a Democrat?

The mainstream news media and the Democrats are eating this kind of stuff up. An unarmed black man was killed by a white police officer in a predominantly black city, and the press are going full force with racial accusations, including somehow blaming Donald Trump.
The mayor of Minneapolis responded to a statement the president made about the city getting its act together or the feds will move in and fix it by accusing Trump of not taking his own responsibility. What responsibility is on Trump’s shoulders here? He made no laws in the state or the city of Minneapolis. He hired not one police officer there.
Democrats realize that this crap show is of their doing, and so they, with the help of the boot-licking sycophants in the mainstream news media, are beginning to twist the story and play the blame game to somehow blame Trump. Some are mentioning white supremacists because we all know that they have spent years now accusing Trump of being a white nationalist racist even though the evidence points to exactly the opposite conclusion.
The very fact that Trump called on the Department of Justice to investigate what happened, the Democrats are still going to try to somehow blame him for what’s taking place in a Democrat-controlled city.
No one is defending the video. No one is defending the police officer.
Nevertheless, because the only power our corrupt dying left-wing media have left is to spread chaos and create panic, what could have been a unifying tragedy has been intentionally turned into a black v. white thing, a pro-Trump v. anti-Trump thing.
Along with the National Guard, roughly 200 Minnesota State Patrol troopers will likely be deployed together with state patrol helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft to help law enforcement officers on the ground.
Floyd died Monday after he was restrained by a Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who knelt on his neck for 6 to 8 minutes using his full body weight according to the video that went viral. You can see the officer’s right leg and foot dangling, which indicates he was applying all of his body weight to Floyd’s neck.
Floyd had been arrested on suspicion of passing off a counterfeit bill at a grocery store.
After President Donald Trump ordered an investigation into the matter, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said Thursday it has made investigating his death a “top priority,” as protests, some violent, have erupted across the country to demand justice.
