There are some things in America that are as predictable as the Sun rising and falling. There will be babies born and people pass away, democrats will lie and several people, a high percentage of Black Americans, will be shot and some will die from the gunshots in progressive cities with tough gun laws.
On Chicago’s Southside, gangs, and non-affiliated thugs have been running the city streets for decades. One Democratic mayor, after another, has promised to clean up the city, through investment in the most affected areas and/or in the recent past, increased police on the street.
In the current Civil War, progressives are in the process of further restricting the police’s ability to fight anarchists or simply working to replace them. So without more policing, and Chicago’s budget in the tank, I can see no end in the near future to these senseless shootings. By the way, where is BLM?
Last weekend in Chicago, there were at least 100 people who were shot in Mayor Lightfoot’s Chicago, which was Father’s Day Weekend, 14 of whom succumbed to their injuries. Quite symbolic, the victims, most without Fathers living in their homes on Fathers Day, were in involved this these shooting with some dying. Another weekend, how did it go Friday and Saturday?

At Least 20 People Shot, 7 Fatally, During 24 Hours in Mayor Lightfoot’s Chicago
NBC Chicago reports the first non-fatal shooting occurred around 4 p.m. Friday when a 31-year-old was shot and wounded while riding in a vehicle “in the 10300 block of South Halsted.” The man was transported to the hospital in good condition.
Sometime on Saturday, after 2 p.m. a one-year-old boy was shot dead while riding in the car with his mother in Englewood. The boy and his mother had been at the laundromat and were driving back home when a vehicle pulled up next to them and opened fire.
Another fatality was discovered just before 4 p.m. Saturday when a 28-year-old man who “had been shot in the back and face” was found “unresponsive on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of North Mayfield Avenue.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.

BLM is nowhere to be found, not protesting in the streets on the Southside, demanding black youth stop killing back youth (even babies). Without Fathers, support from local residents, and revamping of the policing in Chicago, it will always be a killing zone. It sadness me as All Lives Matter, and this should not continue, but it probably will.
