Nancy Pelosi Supports Tearing Down Statues But Wants to Find a Safer Way

While anyone with an ounce of sanity would oppose mobs ripping down statues at will is wrong, Nancy Pelosi says it’s right but that we should make it safer for them to do so.

If you have ever read 1984 by George Orwell, you would know that one of it’s main ideas is that if you erase history and religion, all that is left is the party.

Sounds eerily similar to the Democratic party.

Not only is the anarchist/Democratic mobs wanting to take down all the political statues in America, but they are also now advocating removing all statues of Jesus.

That should come as no surprise.

This is the party that booed God at their national convention in 2012.

In the interview, Pelosi claimed that she doesn’t want the mob tearing down the statues but that she thinks there should be a review and then remove them in a safe manner by the all-powerful state.

And even though she claims she does not believe that statues of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson should come down, she also believes they could be after a review.

Pelosi said:

“I would say, rather than tearing down and defacing, why don’t we just have a review? Have a review in terms of, let’s take it down safely so that we’re not hurting anybody when the statue comes down or costing more money to get rid of it or get rid of the defacing of something that might not, maybe shouldn’t have been. But I think that — I’m all for it. Let’s review this. Why are we glorifying the sins of the past? That doesn’t mean because Thomas Jefferson or George Washington or others were slave owners that we should undermine what they did for our country.”

“These Confederates — Jefferson Davis, Alexander Stephens, they committed treason against the United States in the name of slavery. I think that’s a different story. But you know what, subject everything to scrutiny and make a decision, but I do think we should do it in a safer way rather than in a more dangerous way.”
