Conservative senators are furious over the Supreme Court’s recent ruling blocking President Donald Trump’s plan to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, and, specifically, Chief Justice John Roberts, who wrote the opinion.
And for the Soros-funded freaks at MediaMatters, it has nothing to do with racism or the DACA recipients themselves. It has to do with the rule of law, as DACA is not a legitimate law. It never was.
I can guarantee you that if the Congress took up the DACA law and voted on it, and it passed, no one on the conservative side of the aisle would be as outraged as they are now over this unconstitutional law. What Roberts did was a slap in the face of Lady Liberty.
The 5-4 decision was the most recent blow to both the Trump administration and judicial conservatives on Capitol Hill.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR.) said Roberts was posturing as a “Solomon who will save our institutions from political controversy and accountability.”
“If the Chief Justice believes his political judgment is so exquisite, I invite him to resign, travel to Iowa, and get elected. I suspect voters will find his strange views no more compelling than do the principled justices on the Court,” Cotton stated.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) complained about Roberts during a Senate floor speech.
“Judging is not a game. It’s not supposed to be a game but sadly over recent years more and more, Chief Justice Roberts has been playing games with the court to achieve the policy outcomes he desires,” Cruz said.
Roberts sided with the court’s liberal wing on Thursday when it blocked the Trump administration’s plan shut down an Obama-era program that shields nearly 700,000 young undocumented immigrants from deportation.
The DACA program was 100 percent illegal when it was created, as a sitting president does not have the legal authority to create laws, only the Congress can. And Obama created the program through an Executive Order. Executive Orders can be reversed by another Executive Order, apparently unless a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court disagrees with it.
Roberts additionally joined Trump nominee Justice Neil Gorsuch on the Monday ruling.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said that the Supreme Court more and more “seems to be legislating.”
“What really troubles a lot of people is that some of the folks that the Republican Party has put on this bench … because they say that they understand that their job is to interpret the law, not to write it, are becoming activists,” Rubio said. “It’s concerning.”
When a reporter noted that it gave the impression of he was frustrated with Roberts, Rubio added: “Obviously Roberts has been at the core at some of these decisions.”
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo), in a tweet, stated that it was the “most disappointing week” for the Supreme Court in years.
“The problem here is what you’ve essentially done is you’ve said … one administration can put in a set of rules by executive fiat but then another administration … can’t reverse those rules,” Hawley said.
When he was asked if he was disappointed in Roberts, Hawley replied that he thought justices were capable but he was “disappointed in the decision for sure.”
“I’m disappointed with this pattern that we’re seeing,” he added. “This is not a good week for textualists.”
It’s not the first time Roberts has angered Republicans, who are by this point frustrated beyond compare.
Everything in our country has been corrupted, and when the elected officials blatantly allow lawbreaking, as we have recently witnessed all over the country with blue state and city Democrats allowing lawlessness in the streets, that’s one thing, because at least the American people have the right to throw them out of office in their next election. But when Supreme Court justices blatantly flout the Constitution, it makes one worry about the future of the country for your children and grandchildren, because they’re there for life.
Roberts joined with the court’s leftist wing in 2019 when he ruled that the Trump administration didn’t give an adequate reason for adding a citizenship question to the 2020 census, allowing the question to be blocked until at least after the census has been completed, assuring it won’t be there. The Chief Justice knew, and even admitted, that the president had the right to add a citizenship question, but he was the deciding vote to screw over 300 million American citizens in the pocketbook and elsewhere.
He once again joined with the leftist wing of the Court in a 2012 ruling that upheld Obamacare’s individual mandate, a decision that still angers many Constitutionalists.
It was revealed that all five Constitutionalist justices were prepared to throw out off Obamacare law, and then at the very last minute Roberts changed his mind and sided with the Left on the Court. Call me crazy, but I believe Barack Obama had John Brennan, his CIA chief, use government resources to threaten the Chief Justice with dirt information that would have embarrassed him or his family, and that’s why he changed. I’ll never be able to prove it, but it makes sense for a career judge who always sided with the rule of law to change his decision at the very last minute.
Ever since Roberts screwed over millions and millions of Americans by having skyrocketing premiums thanks to the flawed Obamacare law, the leftist media has learned that they can intimidate him into ruling their way.
A judge is supposed to rule based on Constitutional principles. In other words, a law is brought before a court, be it the law itself, or a trial against someone who is accused to breaking the law. Either way, a judge is supposed to look at the law in question and determine if said law stands up to the Constitution. Based on that, DACA is 100 percent unconstitutional, because Obama created DACA law with an Executive Order, and Article I of the Constitution says that the Congress has the authority to create laws. The Executive branch has the authority to “execute” the laws, not create or change them. There is nothing Constitutional about DACA, but Roberts once again went along with the side of the court that rules based on emotions and pop culture rather than the Constitution.
On Thursday, Cruz compared Robert’s ruling on DACA with Obamacare.
“That’s not clever. That’s lawless. The decision today was lawless. It was gamesmanship,” Cruz added.
Roberts should pray that the Republicans don’t sweep the House, Senate, and White House in November, because he could be looking at an impeachment and removal from office. When a judge blatantly rules against the Constitution, as Roberts has very clearly done more than once now, he or she should not be sitting on the bench. If they’re not doing their job, especially a job as serious and vital to our nation’s security, they need to go post haste.
