Opinion| In my humble opinion, the main reason that the country is so divided right now is because that is the the media’s purpose.
I truly believe that the execs at the big 6 media companies, along with those at the social media companies, are doing all they can to Balkanize America, in order to break down it’s institutions and then install ones much more centralized and much, much more draconian and powerful.
When I watch the TV ‘news’ it can not be more clear to me that they are doing everything they can to help foster civil unrest and inject their political opinions into their broadcasts. It just so happens that the majority of the members of the dinosaur media have political opinions that seem to be in the vein of Mao and Stalin, rather than Jefferson and Washington.
Now, you may be thinking ‘that’s funny coming from you Mark, all you do is opine.’ Well, yes, you would be right.
However, there is one MAJOR difference, this is an opinion blog, I am not presenting my commentary as ‘unbiased’ fact. Every article starts with the word Opinion, the site’s logo includes the word ‘opinion’ and the site’s about section makes this abundantly clear.
Just in case you have no idea what I am talking about, lets take this Fox News article, which points out the blatant hypocrisy of the White House Press Pool, perfectly:
Fox News reported:
‘White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany faced a barrage of questions from the media on Wednesday over coronavirus concerns ahead of President Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Okla., on Saturday — but the Trump aide pushed back by asking why they didn’t express similar sentiments about the mass protests across the country.
McEnany said that temperature checks, hand sanitizer and masks would be doled out at the Tulsa rally.
“While we appreciate the great concern for our rally goers, you should exhibit that same concern for the protesters who are out there not socially distancing in many cases,” McEnany told reporters, as she called on them to work on their “internal cohesion.”
One reporter noted that while the protests took place outside, Trump’s rally is scheduled at an indoor venue, asking if it was the White House’s position that indoor and outdoor events carried equal risk.
“It’s our position that the media should not be making decisions about their guidelines to us about social distancing based on political ideology or what they think is the worthiness of the cause,” she said.

McEnany held up a New York Post front page with an image of thousands gathering in close proximity for a “black trans lives matter” protest and an image from a Trump rally, blasting the “sick hypocrisy.” “This is okay,” the protest photo was captioned. “This is dangerous,” the Trump rally caption read.

Later when pressed again, McEnany noted that rally attendance was voluntary and attendees were aware of the risk they assumed.’
Remember, California just mandated that people in public areas OUTDOORS must wear masks and maintain a 6 foot bubble around them. I’m sure it is coincidence that he waited until after this event to issue the new rules:

Even the Huffington Post stated that:
‘Golden State residents now must wear masks in nearly every indoor and outdoor setting, with some exceptions carved out for people who are exercising or dining and people with a medical reason they can’t wear a covering. ‘
I’m sure this has nothing to do with influencing the election, right … nothing at all, I’m sure.
