Portland seems to be in a state of insurrection with overgrown children and misfits acting like typical communist revolutionary antagonizers. Personally, I think Trump should just make it clear that we will defend federal property and that the US tax payers will NOT be paying to repair the destruction caused by these Marxists.
If the city and state chooses not to defend their city and keep the order, they can pay the price to repair the damage. Alternatively, they can leave the city in the state it is … that way it will be just like the rest of the nations who have has Marxist revolutions … s*******.
Opinion| Steven Ahle| Portland, Oregon seems to be quickly becoming a “3rd world country” within the borders of the United States and this is all thanks to out of control rioting that has been allowed to occur right under the nose of Mayor, Ted Wheeler.
It seems that Wheeler has set his target on the men and women who are federal officials which have moved into the city to protect Federal property and citizens lives.
Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum will allegedly file a lawsuit in an effort to halt the DHS from nabbing violent anarchists off the streets which she claims is being done without probable cause.
The ACLU is also planning lawsuits based on, what seem to be, a media driven narrative, seemingly made up charges spewed by feckless state and local officials. In fairness, there have been a few concerning videos, however, we do not know the full story of each individual case.
In one charge Oregon officials claim that the Department of Homeland Security agents are not identifying themselves, (this is a disputed point).
AG Rosenblum also claims that DHS officials are arresting people without probable cause.
I believe their real beef is that federal agents are seeking to quell the unrest and if order is restored before the election this will only help Trump’s re-election bid. However, that’s just my opinion, man.
US Attorney Billy J Williams is prosecuting them to the fullest extent of the law.
Rosenblum gave this official statement:
“I share the concerns of our state and local leaders – and our Oregon U.S. Senators and certain Congressional representatives – that the current escalation of fear and violence in downtown Portland is being driven by federal law enforcement tactics that are entirely unnecessary and out of character with the Oregon way. These tactics must stop. They not only make it impossible for people to assert their First Amendment rights to protest peacefully. They also create a more volatile situation on our streets. We are today asking the federal court to stop the federal police from secretly stopping and forcibly grabbing Oregonians off our streets, and we are announcing a state criminal investigation, with the Multnomah County District Attorney, into the incident resulting in serious injuries to a peaceful protester — apparently committed by a federal police officer in downtown Portland last week.
“The federal administration has chosen Portland to use their scare tactics to stop our residents from protesting police brutality and from supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. Every American should be repulsed when they see this happening. If this can happen here in Portland, it can happenanywhere.”
Unbelievable. There were violent attacks by violent protesters in Portland for over five weeks prior to the DHS moving in to protect federal property, however she claims that it was the feds who started the violence.
