The vote went along party lines but the Democrats are the minority and thus did not have the votes to stop the investigation.
The Democrats are crying political witch hunt. That’s funny, coming from a party that launched the most ridiculous impeachment in history.
For some reason the Democrats consider it is a crime to inquire about corruption at a time when the United States is looking into aiding Ukraine. But they think the actual corruption should not be investigated.
They know there was funny business going on because otherwise the Democrats would be pleased with an investigation that backfires this close to the election.
By opposing the investigation it shows they are afraid what the Republicans might find, especially since Richard Grenell is willing to declassify documents. That could spell disaster for the Democrat’s hope for gaining the White House.
The investigation into the presumptive Democratic nominee’s son came about as the result of the Democrats’ attempt to impeach President Donald Trump. The Democratic investigation conducted by the House along party lines sought to remove the president from office on the basis that he allegedly pressured the Ukrainian government into investigating Hunter Biden.
During the course of that investigation, it was revealed that former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter had been paid a $50,000 a month salary by Burisma despite having no obvious expertise in the natural gas industry.
