ICYMI – Opinion – Elder Patriot – Fox News reported that the Obama administration granted U.S. citizenship to 2,500 Iranians while negotiating the Iran nuclear deal:
Hojjat al-Islam Mojtaba Zolnour, who is chairman of Iran’s parliamentary nuclear committee and a member of its national security and foreign affairs committee, made the allegations during an interview with the country’s Etemad newspaper, cited by the country’s Fars News agency.
According to Zolnour it was done as a favor to senior Iranian officials in favor with President Hassan Rouhani. Zolnour said the move sparked a competition among Iranian officials over whose children would benefit from the scheme:
“When Obama, during the negotiations about the JCPOA, decided to do a favor to these men, he granted citizenship to 2,500 Iranians and some officials started a competition over whose children could be part of these 2,500 Iranians.
“If today these Iranians get deported from America, it will become clear who is complicit and sells the national interest like he is selling candies to America.”
How many more gifts are we going to find out that Obama doled out to Iran’s mullahs?
Just yesterday the Washington Times ran an opinion piece under the headline:
America really did have a Manchurian Candidate in the White House
The author, is a former Special Operator and Wall Street executive. Even without this knowledge he referred to the JCPOA this way:
“… the coup-de-grace of anti-American activity was the JCPOA, or, to say it another way, the agreement to give Iran everything it wanted, including nuclear weapons and money — lots of money — which it immediately used to further destabilize the region, and existentially threaten the only democracy in the Middle East, Israel.”
There is much to be discovered about who received U.S. citizenship but we can surmise from Zolnour’s statement, “If today these Iranians get deported from America, it will become clear who is complicit and sells the national interest like he is selling candies to America,” that these may very well represent 2,500 “escape to America” free passes in the event of a coup.
Former Obama State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said, “This sounds like totally made up BS.”
Perhaps it is but Saeed Ghasseminejad, a research fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington-based research institute, told Fox News:
“Many ordinary Iranians are surprised and feel betrayed that children of the regime officials live and work in the U.S. The regime officials chant death to America but send their children to the U.S., away from the hell they have created in Iran over the past four decades.”
As an aside, the Iranian elites sound like Democrats who extol the virtues of our public schools while sending their little darlings to elite private schools.
If the mullahs did ask for the 2,500 waivers it certainly looks like a smart move today following President Trump’s withdrawal from the JCPOA and the corresponding economic sanctions that have the regime on the verge of collapse.
This has resulted in protests against the regime that are now threatening to topple the mullahs with the intention of installing a pro-Western democracy.
As we watch President Trump reshape the Middle East and restore stability to the region without extensive use of our military we are left wondering what in the world Obama was thinking and who was giving him advice when he made his foreign policy decisions.
It’s almost as though Valerie Jarrett (Obama’s Chief of Staff) was channelling the Muslim Brotherhood’s policies directly to King Hussein, er, President Obama.
