Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) is professing that non-racist white people must essentially become activists in the event that they want to be considered culturally “good enough” in 2020.
Has she ever pondered what if people don’t care about being considered “good enough” by the Left? I mean, what does that mean, “good enough?” Conservatives are not the cause of her problems, and I think it’s fair to state that at this point that conservatives understand the Left will never consider them “good enough,” so what’s the point of this academic exercise?
This is radical leftist to the core. Who is this woman to determine what is culturally “good enough?”
The Massachusetts Democrat not too long ago spoke with comedian Samantha Bee (what could go wrong there, am I right?) in regards to the George Floyd protests, racism in America, and the role of “Karen” and “Becky” which are considered blanket terms for all white women moving forward.
“Everyone will say, ‘Well, you know, I’m not a racist,’” Pressley told the host during a recent appearance on “Full Frontal.” She added, “Yeah, great. That’s not good enough. What you need to be is anti-racist. And that means being intentional and deliberate and unapologetic and dismantling structural racism and systemic oppression, and not being afraid to call it what it is: white supremacy.”

Rather than reflecting on how much progress the country has made over the decades since the civil rights era, where overt racism has pretty much been eradicated in society, Pressley is saying that’s not enough.
Race hustlers like Pressley always give a fleeting glance at racial progress saying things like “Yes, there’s been progress… but we have a long way to go….” without ever discussing the actual progress. If the progress of anti-racism were talked about, wouldn’t it lead to even better solutions? Isn’t that what a national dialog on race should be all about? Wouldn’t that kind of discussion be productive?
They don’t want a discussion. They want to lecture America, and they’ll be damned if you try to have a discussion.
Yes, there will always be racist people from all walks of life, but you cannot claim that there hasn’t been progress.
Abraham Lincoln once said, “I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends.” For far too long black activists have been sucking up to the Democratic Party, which is the sole reason we have had to pass every civil rights bill in our history. Think about it. Every civil rights bill has been written and passed to remedy things the Democratic Party has done. Racist laws Democrats created at the state level had to be wiped out by federal civil rights acts.
Instead of attacking “white” America, Pressley would do the black community such a solid by placing blame where it really belongs: the Democratic Party. Her party.
“America” didn’t do all the horrible and unjust things to black people, that was the Democratic Party. There have always been people outside that party who have fought for equal rights under the law. The first thing the congresswoman could do to show she is serious about ending racism is to leave the Democratic Party, the party of slavery, Jim Crow, the Ku Klux Klan, and segregation. The party that to this day takes black voters for granted. In a phrase, she should just “Walk Away.”
The term white supremacy conjures up images of backwoods white folk whose parents were cousins, and they have a small militia complete with Klan memorabilia hanging on the walls of their pavilion right next to the Nazi flags and old photos of Dixiecrat politicians and segregationists like William Fulbright and Robert Byrd.
What Pressley is trying to do is claim that the societal structure of America is itself white supremacy. The irony that escapes her is that ideas like that, spoken aloud, are itself racist, in that she is claiming “systemic racism” which means it’s built into white America to be racist, which in turn means she is saying that all white people are inherently racist, and that itself is the very definition of racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group.
I’ve been working for David Harris Jr. for a few years now. He’s my boss, but I love him like my Christian brother. If what Pressley says is true, I would be a racist, and I cannot imagine that a racist would ever work for a successful black person. Her rhetoric just doesn’t add up.
It’s no longer enough to not be racist, to not be prejudiced against your fellow man because of the color of his or her skin. People like the congresswoman from Massachusetts believe that white people can be racist even if they don’t believe they are being racist. That’s what systemic racism means. It would be as ridiculous as someone saying black women from Massachusetts suffer from “systemic stupidity.”
The feckless [INSERT WORD HERE] Bee echoed Pressley’s racist sentiment by saying that “reluctant white people are going to be dragged into a more progressive future or rightfully dragged on Twitter.”
Pressley added, “Using your privilege in a tangible way [is necessary],” then said, “Doing more than liking and retweeting. OK? No more hashtags. … Let’s just do the work.”
Bee needs to be careful here, because in time, when all the other white people have been sufficiently “canceled,” Pressley will be coming for her as well. We’re already seeing that.
“White women, be useful. Use that privilege for good,” Bee urged.
“Yes, Karen. Come on, Becky,” Pressley said.
