Tucker Carlson Wrecks Obama for Political Stunt, Calls Him a ‘Greasy Politician’

Opinion| Lawrence David| Former president and full-time race-baiter Barack Obama turned the funeral for civil rights icon John Lewis in the Wellstone Memorial part deux.

Obama’s caustic and incendiary racially charged rhetoric was inarguably intended to divide America.  A practice favored by community activists… see Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals… but a practice unacceptable in modern America’s diverse society.

Obama: “Today, we witness with our own eyes police officers kneeling on the necks of Black Americans.  George Wallace may be gone, but we can witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators.”…

… ““Bull Connor may be gone, but today we witness with our own eyes police officers kneeling on the necks of black Americans,” Obama said. “George Wallace may be gone, but we can witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators.”…

… “We may no longer have to guess the number of jellybeans in a jar in order to cast a ballot, but even as we sit here, there are those in power who are doing their darndest to discourage people from voting by closing polling locations and targeting minorities and students with restrictive ID laws and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision, even undermining the Postal Service in the run-up to an election that’s going to be dependent on mail-in ballots so people don’t get sick.”

…“And by the way, naming it the ‘John Lewis Voting Rights Act,’ that is a fine tribute, but John wouldn’t want us to stop there.” …

“And if all this takes eliminating the filibuster, another Jim crow relic in order to secure the God-given rights of every American, then that’s what we should do.”

Not so shockingly, no one in the media called Obama to task for failing to identify George Wallace and Bull Connor as Democrats.

Nor, did any left wing media outlets notice that in 2005, when Obama was still serving as the junior senator from Illinois, he had a very different take on the filibuster.

Obama in 2005… “If the right of free and open debate is taken away from the minority party, and the millions of Americans who asked us to be their voice, I fear that the already partisan atmosphere in Washington will be poisoned to the point where no one will be able to agree on anything. That doesn’t serve anyone’s best interests, and it certainly isn’t what the patriots who founded this democracy had in mind.”

There was no need to.  There was so much over which to excoriate Obama’s campaign speech…

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson shredded Obama for his craven attempt to rally what’s left of the Democratic Party’s racially-woke Kool-Aid drinkers…

Carlson: “They accuse you of the crimes they themselves are committing. It makes your head spin. Arguing with them is pointless. They’re nihilists. They don’t believe in the existence of truth, or in the fixed meaning of words. They care only about power.”

“If you needed more evidence of that, Barack Obama showed up at Congressman John Lewis’ funeral today. Obama claimed he was there to eulogize his old friend. But that’s not true and that’s not what he did. Instead, Obama gave a divisive and deeply dishonest campaign speech in church.”

Carlson (Con’t):  “It’s hard to believe that clip is real, but it is, down to the coined fake accent, Mr. Hawaii guy. Imagine if some greasy politician showed up at your loved one’s funeral and started throwing around stupid partisan talking points about senate procedure. Can you imagine that? You would be shocked if that happened. You’d probably walk out. Desecrating a funeral with campaign slogans? What kind of person would do that?”

“But Democrats in the audience didn’t seem offended. They didn’t blink. They cheered. It all seemed normal to them. And why wouldn’t it? Political power is their religion. It’s not out of place in a church. it’s what they worship.”

Carlson wasn’t the only person to take exception to Obama’s raw politicalization of a sacred moment.  Here’s MLK’s niece Alveda King’s take…

The niece of Dr. Martin Luther King had this response to Obama’s outrageous claims…

“You know, actually President Trump is saying: ‘People, please pay attention. We do want you to vote. Use your absentee ballots. Go to the polls.’ He has even encouraged, you know, people to be poll watchers and poll workers and that kind of thing.”

“President Trump is not trying to suppress the vote. We do want people to vote safely. And, we need the voting process to be fair. And so, to politicize the funeral of a peaceful warrior — I mean, I guess they grabbed at an opportunity to be political.”

Civil rights attorney Leo Terrell chimed in as well…

And finally, let’s put the lie to white privilege…

Americans voted for Barack Obama with hopes he would finish the healing process.  He did the exact opposite.

Americans weren’t racist when they voted for Obama and they’re not racist now for rejecting his politics.  They’re smart.
