There is nothing more sad than reading about a young person who had passed away before their time.
As a country we put a lot of faith and trust in athletes to be the examples that our children can look up to in life. Too often this proves to be a fool hearty cause.
Just because someone is bless with athletic ability does not make them a good, or a bad person, it just makes them a good athlete.
As if the competition was not enough for these athletes to deal with, going from having nothing, to having, literally EVERYTHING at their fingertips is too much to deal with for some.
This is the 2nd NFL player to have died in the last week or so as Chargers and then Buc’s star, and personal friend, Vincent Jackson passed away earlier this week.
Now, mere days later …
Fox News is reporting:
Louis Nix, a former NFL defensive lineman who was a college standout at Notre Dame has been found dead after going missing earlier this week.
Nix’s mother confirmed the death of her 29-year-old son to Ben Becker, a reporter with FOX 30 in Jacksonville, Fla.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office also confirmed that Nix had been found but did not immediately comment on his condition, the Florida Times-Union of Jacksonville reported
Nix’s mother believed her son was in danger. Earlier Saturday, Becker tweeted out that the mother had no new information on her son’s whereabouts.
A three-year starter for the Fighting Irish, Nix was shot in December while putting air in the tires of his car. Nix said at the time that the bullet hit his sternum and entered his lung, which was then removed during surgery.’
Please say a prayer for his soul and for his family. … But for the grace of God go I …
