GOP Senator Brags About Violating Constitution To F Trump, Now He’s Finished

Richard Burr, a longtime RINO and personal valet for Sen Mark Warner said that he is well aware of the fact that the impeachment was unconstitutional but that he voted for it anyway. The only good thing Burr ever did for his constituents is announce that he will not be running for reelection. We need a conservative in his Senate slot because to me that would be the same as a pick up.

The Senate acquitted President Trump 57-43. The Democrats missed it by just ten RINOs. Worse yet for them, they were taken to school where trump’s lawyers ate their lunch for them. They had to be embarrassed as they methodically proved the Democrats were force to lie and edit videos to even attempt to make a case. But, they can cheer up because I am sure they will try to impeach him again after he announces his bid for the presidency in 2024.

Burr, who split from Republican voters and sided with the Democrats, released a statementfollowing his vote:

“When this process started, I believed that it was unconstitutional to impeach a president who was no longer in office. I still believe that to be the case. However, the Senate is an institution based on precedent, and given that the majority in the Senate voted to proceed with this trial, the question of constitutionality is now established precedent.”

The North Carolina Republican Party released a weak statement condemning Richard Burr:

Raleigh, NC – The Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party Michael Whatley released the following statement following Senator Burr’s contradictory impeachment vote.

“North Carolina Republicans sent Senator Burr to the United States Senate to uphold the Constitution and his vote today to convict in a trial that he declared unconstitutional is shocking and disappointing.”

From The Gateway Pundit

North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr is one of seven Republicans who voted “guilty” to convict President Donald Trump on Saturday — and by his own admission, he violated the US Constitution in doing so.

Richard Burr doesn’t care about the US Constitution and he isn’t worried about upsetting North Carolina voters because he is retiring and will not seek reelection when his term expires next year.
