What can you say about Mitch McConnell you couldn’t say about Judas or Benedict Arnold? I just ate 2 dozen Blazin’ Wings from BW# and I really need to take a wicked Mitch.
McConnell is now openly endorsing criminal charges against President Trump. If there is a Senatorial race in your state in 2022, ask all of the Republicans running who they will vote for leader. If they all say McConnell vote for the Democrat because I will. I canno0t support them.
In fact in the local House race, if Nancy Mace intends on voting for Kevin McCarthy, I will vote for the Democrat. There is not a nickel’s worth of difference between those two and any two Democrats you can name.
This is especially true if you plan on voting for Trump in 2024. He needs Republicans in the leadership roles. I have had enough RINOs and I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore.
McConnell loves the fact that Biden won because they have something in common. Both families make a fortune dealing with the communist Chinese, but I would prefer an American president and an American GOP leader, neither of which we currently have.
Perhaps when Trump wins in 2024 the first thing he needs to do is deport both of them to China. That way their money will not have to travel so far to reach them.
Mitch McConnell
Jan. 6 was a shameful day. A mob bloodied law enforcement and besieged the first branch of government. American citizens tried to use terrorism to stop a democratic proceeding they disliked.
There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone. His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended.
I was as outraged as any member of Congress. But senators take our own oaths. Our job wasn’t to find some way, any way, to inflict a punishment. The Senate’s first and foundational duty was to protect the Constitution.
Some brilliant scholars believe the Senate can try and convict former officers. Others don’t. The text is unclear, and I don’t begrudge my colleagues their own conclusions. But after intense study, I concluded that Article II, Section 4 limits impeachment and conviction to current officers.
‘INFLICT A PUNISHMENT’ … there is only one thing that can mean IMHO … Locking Trump up and moving his ability to ever run for office again. Mark my words, if we still have honest elections, Mitch McConnell has won his last election.
