When the Democrats needed troops to stage their 21st century version of the Reichstag fire, they called up 20,000 National Guard soldiers to ‘protect’ the Capitol. Of course they put these brave Americans up in hotels and made sure they had good shelter and food while they were ‘risking their lives’ to protect the legislature … WRONG.
I’m sure that you have seen the pictures by now of Troops called up to serve in Washington forced to sleep in parking garages … in the dead of winter:
The ‘lucky’ soldier who were ordered to ‘cross the Rubicon’ got to sleep on the floor the the Capitol Building itself:
Factor this in with the nearly $2,000,000,000,000.00 ‘stimulus’ bill, of which each citizen (in a household earning less than 150k a year or so) received, or is promised to receive, a mere $1,400 dollars.
Now, when you think about how the Democrats treat citizens, and worse yet, American soldiers and compare it with how they treat to be expelled illegal migrants, it becomes VERY clear who they could care less about … spoiler alert … they don’t give a crap about you or me.
Fox News is reporting:
‘Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn is demanding answers from the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement Tuesday over the $86.9 million the agencies are spending to house more than 1,200 migrant families in hotel rooms.
The Biden administration, earlier this month, awarded ICE an $86.9 million contractthrough Texas-based nonprofit Endeavors for hotel rooms near the border to provide temporary shelter and processing services for families who have been expelled from the United States but have been placed in immigration proceedings for their removal.
But Blackburn, R-Tenn., in a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and ICE acting Director Tae Johnson, is questioning the nonprofit’s past financial disclosures, and how the new contract funds will be used.
Blackburn said that in 2018, Endeavors brought in “over $38 million in contributions and grants,” and noted that “IRS filings show that nearly $22 million or almost half of those contributions went to salaries.”
“This raises questions if half of the $86.9 million in ICE contract proceeds will likewise be allocated toward employee and executive compensation instead of migrant services or housing,” Blackburn wrote.
“As the current contract stands, the cost to taxpayers for housing 1,200 migrant families for six months is about $71,000 per person,” Blackburn wrote. “For a family of four, that amounts to a shocking $284,000 — enough to buy a small house.“
There are no words to describe how upside-down this is. These are even refugees who we have granted asylum. These are people who have been denied entry to the United States and are awaiting their trial, presumably to be deported. How is this even conscionable?
