Rep Henry Cuellar appeared on CBS and he came loaded with pictures of immigrants, including children who are housed underneath a bridge with a foil blanket to keep them warm.
It has been reported that it costs the taxpayer $775 a day for illegals children. We currently have 18,000 in detention. That comes out to a whopping $13,950,000 a day just for the kids.
Over a year’s time, the cost would be just- over 5 billion a year and that does not include healthcare and any government freebie they might get.
Rep Cuellar is a huge critic of the way Biden has allowed the border to be flooded. He told CBS that Biden will not allow the press to see sites like this, but not to worry because he brought photos of the bridge detention camp with him. CBS News’s “Face The Nation” with host Margaret Brennan aired photos on her show.
They really are quite disturbing. Where is the outrage that they heaped on Trump who never made illegal immigrants live under a bridge?
Brennan said:
“Now to the surge of migrants at the southern border. More than 18,000 unaccompanied children are being held in federal custody. Pictures from inside a Customs and Border Patrol facility in Donna, Texas that you are seeing right now show children waiting to be processed, held in overcrowded conditions, sitting on the floor with foil blankets. These images have been shared with us by Congressman Henry Cuellar of Texas, a Democrat who joins us from Laredo.”
CBS News’s “Face The Nation” with host Margaret Brennan aired photos on Sunday from Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) of migrants being detained under a bridge facing “the elements” and noted that they were showing the photos because the Biden administration has “blocked” reporters from being able to see what is going on.
Later in the segment, Brennan showed photos of a large number of migrants being detained under a bridge, saying that they were being given “foil blankets” and that the migrants looked like they were family units.
“And I just want to point out that we’re showing your photos because journalists are being blocked largely by the Biden administration from bringing our own cameras inside to do that firsthand reporting, which is why we’ve identified as being provided by you,” Brennan later added.
