Two teenagers are being charged with murder in the death of a Pakistani Uber Eats driver after they tased him, hijacked his car, and crashed it.
The horrific crime was filmed in the southeast quadrant of Washington D.C.
Mohammad Anwar, who is described as a hard-working Pakistani man with a family, is seen being accosted by the two teens, ages 13 and 15, before one of them accelerates the car with Anwar only partly in the car.
CNN wrote an article about the story and nowhere in the entire report did it mention that the teens were black. Why is that important? Well, their race is not important to the story but it exposes CNN’s gross bias. Because if they were white, then the entire narrative would have been changed to “white teens murder Middle-Eastern immigrant.”
As the teens drive off, the open driver door hits stationary objects forcing the door to slam against Anwar. The video shows the car driving out of sight and shortly after a crash is heard. The man recording runs to the scene to see the car on its side, the two teens stumbling around, and Anwar laying on the sidewalk – presumably dead at this time.
A fundraiser has been created to support the Anwar family.

Outlets have condemned CNN for their phrasing of the incident in which they say the teens assaulted the man but his death was an accident.
Police said the girls, 13 and 15, assaulted an Uber Eats driver with a Taser while carjacking him, which led to an accident in which he was fatally injured.

It’s difficult to say the motives of the young teens. They were so young and inexperienced in driving that perhaps Anwar’s death could indeed have been an accident. But even with the most charity given the carjackers, how could they not see that speeding off with a man hanging out the door while being slammed would not likely result in death?
The facts of this situation are appalling.
The Anwar family described him as
“a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who always provided a smile when you needed one. He leaves behind a family, near and far, who cherish, love, and miss him dearly.”
An Uber representative said,
“We are devastated by this tragic news and our hearts go out to Mohammad’s family during this difficult time … We’re grateful the suspects have been arrested and thank the Metropolitan Police Department for their diligence with this investigation.”
