Breaking: Fauci Is Finally On The Chopping Block

Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) proposed legislation Wednesday called FIRED Act, Fauci Incompetence Requires Early Dismissal. His bill if adopted would remove Fauci from the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

The bill would limit directors to twelve years and would be retroactive, thereby firing Fauci immediately. Fauci has served as the director of the NIAID since 1984. which by my math would be 36 years too long.

Davidson said in a statement Wednesday:

Dr. Fauci represents everything that President Eisenhower warned us about in his farewell address: the scientific-technical elite steering the country toward their own ends. Americans have had decades of Dr. Fauci’s leadership, and he publicly failed to respond appropriately to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is time for him to step aside so that new leadership can ‘follow the science’ and start reopening America.

The bill has been co-sponsored by Reps. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Chip Roy (R-TX), and Ralph Norman (R-SC). Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) also showed his displeasure with the CDC.

Cassidy said:

“The American people are incredibly frustrated, and as Sen. [Susan] Collins [R-ME] said, they’re beginning to disregard what you say that’s true. Because what you say is patently not true, I have to wear a mask when I’m outside, and the wind is blowing at 20 miles per hour, that’s been changed, but it’s only been changed recently.”

“They seek not to believe those things which are true; you got to realize, you got to be more real-time.”

From The Daily Caller

Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins tore into CDC Director Rochelle Walensky for “undermining public confidence” by confusing the public on COVID-19 guidelines.

During a Tuesday morning hearing on Capitol Hill, Collins ripped into the CDC for what she claimed were anti-scientific and contradictory recommendations on school re-openings, wearing masks outside and summer camps.

“I used to have the utmost respect for the guidance from the CDC. I always considered the CDC to be the gold standard. I don’t anymore and I want to give you three examples where I think that conflicting, confusing guidance from your agency has undermined public confidence and contradicts the scientific guidance of many experts.”
