Remember when the Fake News media told all of America that President Donald Trump fired tear gas on innocent peaceful protesters just for a photo op in front of a church in a DC park?
“Tear-gassing peaceful protesters without provocation just so that the president could pose for photos outside a church dishonors every value that faith teaches us,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, whined in a joint statement.
Everyone with a triple-digit IQ knew the Democrat lie about what happened that day was a load of Bullschtein.
During a Congressional hearing on the event, former Attorney General Bill Barr was questioned by Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) about the Lafayette Square incident:
“Are you aware that the director of the church, the Episcopal archbishop of Washington, and the presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church nationally, along with the Catholic bishop of the Archdiocese of Washington all denounced this police assault on the civil rights and the civil liberties of the people?” Raskin asked Barr.
Barr calmly slammed the Democrat by responding, “Did they do that before or after the fire was put out?” Leftists want us to forget that the “peaceful protesters” set the church on fire.

Protesters were not forcibly removed from the park for a Trump photo op according to an internal investigation.
On June 1, 2020, protesters who were out doing their thing over the death of George Floyd were forcibly removed with flash bangs and other non-lethal crowd control measures from the space between St. John’s Church and Lafayette Park in Washington, DC. That part of the story is correct, and the Fake News media and Democrats widely denounced it and immediately blamed Trump, who was filmed walking across the park shortly after they were removed to give a speech in front of St. John’s Church.
Here’s the part that the Fake News media never told you but was released on Wednesday in a report by Mark Greenblatt, the Interior Department inspector general. The report reveals that Park Police were given the go-ahead to clear out the park long before it was known that the former president came up with the idea to walk across the park.
The reason the park was cleared was to allow workers to install an anti-scale fence after the riots on May 30 and 31, according to NBC’s reporting of what Greenblatt wrote in his report.
“The evidence we reviewed showed that the (Park Police) cleared the park to allow a contractor to safely install anti-scale fencing in response to destruction of Federal property and injury to officers that occurred on May 30 and May 31,” Greenblatt noted.
“Moreover, the evidence established that relevant (Park Police) officials had made those decisions and had begun implementing the operational plan several hours before they knew of a potential presidential visit to the park, which occurred later that day,” the letter continued. “As such, we determined that the evidence did not support a finding that the (Park Police) cleared the park on June 1, 2020, so that then President Trump could enter the park.”
The report resolved that the clear of the rioters was justified it went on to say that there was a lack of communication between law enforcement and the rioters on the ground. I say rioters because they were throwing hard objects at cops, setting a church on fire, and doing all the things that rioters do. The report is saying that the miscommunication of law enforcement caused the rioters to know that the park was being cleared.
“Weaknesses in communication and coordination may have contributed to confusion during the operation,” the report said.
During the Congressional hearing Barr confirmed that via loudspeaker Park Police told the crowd that they were clearing the street and asked them to move. he also said they were warned multiple times and the crowd did not disperse.
The report detailed other confusion, citing that AG Barr pushed for the process to be sped up after he learned that Trump was planning to walk there for a speech.
“Are these people still going to be here when POTUS comes out?” Barr said according to the IG report.
“Are you freaking kidding me?” the commander of Park Police operations said, not aware of the former president’s plans.
