I hope you are ready to pay more at the pump under this administration.
It seems Joe Biden does two things well, create crises on the border and kill American jobs. On the Keystone Pipeline alone erased 55,000 jobs and Kamala Harris subsequently told business leaders to move to Central America with its cheap labor.
Now, The ‘President’ is canceling the oil leases in the Arctic Refuge. The refuge is extremely large at 13,900 square miles and the drilling would take up an area the size of the average airport.
It’s impossible to guess how many jobs it will cost Americans but suffice it to say, it’s not going be good Alaskans.
This from a man who last week bought over 1 million barrels of oil from Iran, supplying them with money for their dangerously strong nuclear program.
Do you remember the last time a Democratic president worked out such a deal? (I’m not counting Obama because he never got his deal confirmed by the Senate) Clinton gave away 2 nuclear reactors, fuel, and $250 million in cash.
In return, they promised not to build nuclear devices. That was North Korea. How did that turn out?
Politico reported:
The Biden administration is moving to suspend all oil and gas leases in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge pending a deeper look at the environmental impacts of drilling in the sensitive region, according to a person with direct knowledge of the decision.
A new environmental analysis could impose additional restrictions on development in the refuge or potentially nullify the leases altogether, undoing one of the signature policy achievements of the Trump administration. But it would not go as far as green groups have requested in an ongoing lawsuit, which aims to void the leases that were awarded earlier this year.’
The Arctic Refuge’s coastal plain, a 1.6 million-acre stretch of tundra on Alaska’s North Slope, was opened to oil and gas development as part of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The language included in the bill was drafted by Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and gave power and authority over the leasing program to the secretary of the Interior, acting through the Bureau of Land Management. The Fish and Wildlife Service, which manages the refuge, played only a marginal role in the environmental review process.
Besides killing jobs, Biden is making sure he dismantles our energy independence pushed through by President Trump.
The average price of gas has gone up 80 cents to $3.00 a gallon, $6 a gallon in California. That’s a drop in the bucket of what he will do with his one term.
