The police have finally released bodycam footage from an incident that happened on May 11th. In the video, it shows a police officer at the door where police were called about a man acting erratically. Officer Jimmy Inn knocked on the door and announced he was the police. Lance Lowe opened the door and said, “Hey, police” and then opened fire, hitting Inn multiple times. Officer Inn later died of his wounds.
It all started with a 911 emergency call. The incident unfolded at the 4400 block of La Cresta way around 9:45 a.m. Police received a call that a woman with a torn shirt and blood was screaming for help. Police released the 911 call:
“Um, I think, I think, I think the man is going crazy over there. He’s been acting strange the last couple of days.”
Then Officer Pancho Freer arrived on the scene and he called in that an officer was down. He pleaded with Inn to hold on. Lowe then fired at Freer who fired back, hitting Lowe. Lowe went back inside the house and then came back out, using his eight-year-old son as a human shield. Freer told the man to release the boy, which he refused. He then started towards Lowe, but while Lowe was watching Freer, a bystander grabbed Lowe, knocking him down which caused him to let go of the boy.

As Freer began approaching Lowe on foot, an unidentified bystander tackled Lowe to the ground, freeing the child. Freer then fired at Lowe, striking him.
Police said Lowe was given life-saving measures and was taken to a hospital where he later died. Inn was also taken to the hospital where he later died.
The child was medically cleared and his biological mother took custody of the child, police said. Authorities found a firearm inside Lowe’s residence.
