The narrative that the left has set out for the American public about the motivations of their political opponents on January 6th, while not matching eyewitness accounts of what happened, has allowed the Federal government, the media, and the Democrat party to demonize American supporters of President Donald J. Trump. And the evidence is emerging that shows the left, the Federal Government, the media, and the Democrat party were very wrong. They all may have intentionally lied and colluded to wage personal attacks on their political enemies.
As I reported, and other people have reported, the day after the events unfolded on January 6th, much of the crowd at the US Capitol on the day of President Trump’s speech in DC, who had assembled into a large gathering on the grounds while Trump spoke elsewhere, were under the impression they had been invited into the US Capitol for a tour to speak to US representatives.
I personally witnessed negotiations between activists and people they believed worked in the US Capital, arranging what they thought was a tour of the building.
Video has emerged that shows just that. I witnessed lengthy discussions outside, with activists on bullhorns, on the backside of the building talking two distinct groups of people discussing whether they should go into the US Capitol. One group said it was a trap telling the others not to go into the building.
One group was trying to convince the others to go in. At one point, many of the people gathered near a set of bike racks, eager to get into the Capitol after the decision was made to go in for the tour, were surprised to have to push their way through the people in uniforms, assuming they were made aware that the group had been allowed to go past the bike racks at the point. Things were very confusing.
The confusion at the bike racks attracted more people to come in and push into the crowd and against the people in uniform.
The people in uniforms eventually opened a gap in the bike racks, and people then started pushing and running toward the steps of the US Capitol and up to the top, where they sat for close to an hour, completely filling the stair area with people.
At some point, a small group of people from those who assembled on the stairs apparently went in because at one point, the stairs that had been completely filled had a few spaces where people had left their spots.
I went near the base of the stairs for a few photos of the crowd and then retreated back to the original gathering place to interview some people who were standing and watching, quite a ways removed from the stairs. I never went into the building.
It is not clear which side of the US Capitol the following video was taken. The video emerged on Sunday, showing a very different story than the mainstream media has been showing, while the lay the groundwork that all of the people in the building had broken in and were being violent with police.
The following video shows a man speaking into a microphone saying, “The police here are willing to work with us peacefully like our first amendment allows, as long as they will come and discuss peacefully what needs to be done to save our country,” the man said.
A man who looked like a police officer said in the video, “as long as their is no assault we will work with you.”
The man who was later arrested with the Shaman costume on, Jacob Chansley, is heard and then seen yelling, “We have the right to peacefully protest. We have to be peaceful.” Watch:

One media report from American Greatness reported on the same video and wrote:
“A newly-obtained video shows United States Capitol Police officers speaking with several January 6 protestors—including Jacob Chansley, the so-called “Q shaman”—inside the Capitol that afternoon.
One officer, identified in the video and confirmed by charging documents as Officer Keith Robishaw, appears to tell Chansely’s group they won’t stop them from entering the building. “We’re not against . . . you need to show us . . . no attacking, no assault, remain calm,” Robishaw warns. Chansey and another protestor instruct the crowd to act peacefully. “This has to be peaceful,” Chansley yelled. “We have the right to peacefully assemble.”
The video directly contradicts what government prosecutors allege in a complaint filed January 8 against Chansley: “Robishaw and other officers calmed the protestors somewhat and directed them to leave the area from the same way they had entered. Chansley approached Officer Robishaw and screamed, among other things, that this was their house, and that they were there to take the Capitol, and to get Congressional leaders.”
Chansley is seen entering the Senate chambers with a police officer behind him; he led several protesters in prayer and sat in Vice President Mike Pence’s chair. (The man in the yellow sweatshirt is William Watson, a drug dealer out on bond. He was arrested in January.)
It seems obvious that there were people who intended to be destructive and other people who got caught up in the crowd who believed they had been given permission to be in the area.
It will be interesting to see if the media will report on this new video and change their narrative about what the people in the building were doing and what the motivation was.
One thing is clear; the left does not have a solid grasp on what was going on and the timing. These events in this video happened before President Trump finished speaking on the other side of town at the Eclipse.
