Walter Shaub, the former director of the Office of Government Ethics, wrote:
“I’m sorry, I know some folks don’t like hearing any criticism of him. But this royally sucks. I’m disgusted. A lot of us worked hard to tee him up to restore ethics to government and believed the promises. This is a real ‘f— you’ to us—and government ethics.”
The former top ethics official for President Barack Obama is no fan of Joe Biden whose administration is littered with relatives. Shaub railed against the number of children who were given jobs without any experience but then again, Biden is doing so badly, no one will notice the kids. He was reacting to a report in the Washington Post. The story listed the jobs that relatives were able to get with ease.
Shaub continued:
“Pathetic! The responses from people who spent 4 years complaining the other side was putting a party over the country are pathetic. They sound just like MAGAs. The jobs went to privileged kiddos with mommies & daddies who cozied up to POTUS. Nepotism is illegal.”

“When little problems like this, which are so damn easy to avoid, crop up, it’s a sign of much bigger rot. Because if you can’t even do the easy things, you sure as hell can’t do the hard things. The White House’s defense that they had the minimum qualifications is total BS. The issue isn’t whether they were qualified (some weren’t). It’s that a WH that promised diversity is giving these privileged white kids with connected mommies and daddies prime jobs over others!”
Shaub says he was fooled. He believed that Biden would run an ethical administration and he is afraid that the next president will take advantage of it. Shaub says apologizes for Biden’s claims that the parents and the spouse had no input in the hiring of their relatives. He brushes that off as bullcrap. Considering the lack of ethics during 8 years of Obama, Biden must be really bad. He says that if he sounds bitter there is a good reason for it. Because he is bitter.
