On Monday, Jen Psaki, Press Secretary to Democrat Joe Biden, told the press that the Biden administration plans to have “Community groups” to go door to door to remind unvaccinated people to get a vaccination in an apparent push to reach their idea of “herd immunity”.
“Biden will focus on 5 areas that he sees as a way of increasing the numbers of people who are vaccinated. Targeted Community by Community to go door-to-door outreach, to get remaining people vaccinated by ensuring they have the information they need to safe and successful vaccines,” Psaki said.

“President Joe Biden is launching a new educational effort to encourage Americans to get their coronavirus shots as rates of vaccinations have fallen around the US, and a new variant of Covid-19 threatens to cause new outbreaks.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Tuesday that the White House was embarking on a door-to-door effort to provide Americans with information about the safety and efficacy of the Covid-19 vaccines currently available, as well as the danger presented by the Delta variant.
Ms. Psaki said on Tuesday that the campaign would include “targeted, community-by-community, door-to-door outreach to get remaining Americans vaccinated by ensuring they have the information they need about both how safe and accessible the vaccine is.”
The effort will largely involve the Department of Health and Human Services’ existing Covid-19 Community Corps program, which provides educational materials to Americans with the aims of recipients encouraging their friends and families to get the vaccine.
The Community Corps program has already partnered with several national organizations, including the MLB, NFL, and rural-focused groups like the National 4-H Council,” the Independent UK reported.
The Department of Health and Human Services has their own COVID 19 Corps.
From an April press release:
“COVID-19 Community Corps to Mobilize Doctors, Community Leaders, Businesses and Citizens and Equip Them with Resources and Information to Build Vaccine Confidence and Uptake
HHS Also Launches First TV Ads Encouraging Vaccinations, and Social Media Profile Frames for Americans to Share Support of Vaccines with the Message “We Can Do This”
Today, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is announcing additional measures to encourage vaccinations and increase vaccine confidence as part of the next phase of its COVID-19 public education campaign. The Administration is launching the COVID-19 Community Corps – a nationwide, grassroots network of local voices people know and trust to encourage Americans to get vaccinated. As part of the launch of the Community Corps, Vice President Kamala Harris and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy will meet with founding members on Thursday, April 1, as she begins championing the next phase of the public education campaign from the White House.”
They will also use Community groups like Americorps:
“National CivilianCommunity Corps (NCCC), or AmeriCorps NCCC is an AmeriCorps program that engages 18- to 24-year-olds in team-based national and community service in the United States. … Corps Members and Team Leaders are representative of all colors, creeds, states, and economic status.”
AmeriCorps NCCC is a full-time service program that covers lodging and travel expenses, allowing young adults to serve on a team and make an impact in communities across the country while gaining valuable leadership skills.
According to their site, the group has already been working on door-to-door advocacy of the vaccine with the elderly population, which is known as the “Project of the year,” according to their site.
BIDEN YOUTH:
“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Service and Conservation Corps across the country have pivoted their project priorities to support community response efforts. During these times, Corps have worked together to share experiences and collaborate on safety protocols in order to continue providing young adults opportunities to serve and learn. We are honoring the critical COVID-19 response work completed by our member Corps with a collective 2021 Project of the Year Award. Their work will be recognized at The Corps Network 2021 virtual National Conference, March 15 – 18.”
The reaction was not positive.
“Americans’ health records should not be public information used by Govt to pressure us to make certain decisions, like vaccinations. I bet there’s a smart Member of the House already crafting legislation to #DEFUND the Govt office tasked w/ door-to-door vaccine outreach,” Scott Parkinson wrote.
