A Manhattan grand jury has reportedly filed criminal indictments against the Trump Organization and its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Allen Weisselberg.
Manhattan Democrat District Attorney Cy Vance’s drawn-out investigation, with help from the disgraceful New York Attorney General Letitia James into the Trump Organization, just came up with indictments for minor things that almost never bring criminal “charges” for anyone else.
In other words, the Left doesn’t care if the 80-year-old CFO goes to prison for accepting free parking somewhere, so long as it appears to harm Donald Trump and his family. Normal standards do not apply to Trump, his family, or his company. From the very beginning, the investigation was political attack. Instead of a crime happening and law enforcement has to find the criminal, with progressive liberals in charge, it’s pick a target and we’ll find a crime. They are doing this not because they fear Donald Trump running again in 2024 but because they need to stop him from speaking publicly now.
Even though the company’s CFO, Allen Weisselberg, walked in on his own voluntarily, the progressive prosecutors made a show of handcuffing him and walking him down a hall crowded with reporters. They wanted the perp walk. I’m surprised they didn’t storm Weisselberg’s home at 4 am with a dozen FBI agents dressed in full combat gear with CNN cameras already set up.
The one thing that has driven progressives wildly nuts over the last five years was that the former president refused to give them his tax returns. Trump knows what the Democrats would do with that information. They would point out how much Trump earned and claim there was no way someone who makes that kind of money could relate to normal, regular Americans. They never do it to leftists who have equal or greater wealth. And now it appears that they want to nitpick his surrounding people by prosecuting over frivolous things that no one would ever be indicted over.
The progressives – the American variant of Marxists – have always abused their power this way. If they didn’t, President House Plant would never have been able to get elected after the American people learned of all the shady dealings he and his family have been involved in with the Communist Chinese government and others through his son Hunter, but that’s for another story.
Vance obtained years of the Trump Organization’s tax records. You would think with all that money and so many business transactions over the decades they would find some serious crimes, but the simple truth is there was no there, there, and all Vance found is an alleged failure to pay taxes on corporate perks like cars, apartments, tuition, etc.
Here’s a fact. Any other company with the same problems would have faced an audit and/or a large fine. Not the Trump Organization.
After orchestrating press leaks galore of impending discovery of illegal activities, if Vance or James had even an ounce of evidence implying serious fraud, this Soros-purchased progressive American subversive would have included it by now.
CNN and Twitter radical leftists with blue checkmarks are already salivating at the prospect that the CFO will cut a deal with prosecutors and throw Trump under a bus by handing them real crimes that were hidden. This is the same thing the Democrats did to former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, Trump’s former Director of National Intelligence Lt. General Michael Flynn, and others, and like them, the CFO has not yet flipped for the progressives. And I believe with everything in my heart that the reason is the same as those politically attacked in the past; there’s nothing there to offer up as a flip for their freedom.
Like socialists pleading, if we just try it once more I’m certain it will work this time, progressive leftists ignore the truth smacking them in the face that what they are seeking is a nothingburger; they just don’t care about the rule of law. They only want to use the government’s authority to shut down people they disagree with politically. To them, that’s more important than going after real criminals.
Like a special prosecutor who comes up empty-handed, the indictment on Thursday is Vance and James’s way of attempting to justify the enormous amount of time, money, efforts, and other resources they wasted on a case that took two years time all based on the angry rants coming from Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen, who had nothing whatsoever to do with the Trump Organization.
Let me repeat that. This witch hunt investigation that came up with nothing of real substance was born from a bitter man who had nothing to do with and therefore had no knowledge of the inner workings of the Trump Organization.
Ronald Fischetti, Trump’s attorney, said that prosecutors told him that former President Donald Trump will not be charged “for now,” knowing full well he will never be charged because the only thing Vance and James have against the man is petty partisan political hatred without an ounce of evidence.
“In my more than 50 years of practice, never before have I seen a district attorney’s office target a company over employee compensation or fringe benefits,” Fischetti said. “It’s ridiculous and outrageous.” Amen.
