What did Pelosi know and when did she know it? The Speaker of the House selects the Sergeant in Arms and she instructs him on security matters. He is also one of three board members for the Capitol Police.
Former Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving recalled to House Admin recalled how discussions with Pelosi and her office shaped his decision making about the security of the Capitol on January 6th.
Pelosi’s office made it clear to Irving that they did not want National Guard troops on Capitol Hill. Had they been there, they could very well have stopped the Capitol Police from giving protesters access to the Capitol Building.
Videos show clearly that Capitol Police moved barriers to give the protesters access to the building. They then opened the door to the Capitol and allowed the protesters to casually walk inside as the police watched.
Did they do this just so they could entrap Trump supporters? After all, the FBI is going after people who never even entered the building.
It is curious that Pelosi was in charge of security and yet protesters were given easy access to the Capitol. I wonder if this was done so Democrats could target Trump supporters and allow them to label them as white supremacists and domestic terrorists.
There is something odd about the timeline. Irving claimed he did not get a formal request from Capitol Police chief Steven Sund until after two o’clock at which time he sent the request to Pelosi’s office. But that office claims that it approved the request at 1:43 PM.
How did they approve the deployment 20 minutes before it was requested? Some think that Irving is now covering for Pelosi. Both Irving and Sund resigned after the mostly peaceful rally.
Pelosi’s office had previously impressed upon Irving that the National Guard was to remain off Capitol Grounds, Irving allegedly told House Admin. The discussions, which centered around “optics,” allegedly occurred in the months prior to the Jan. 6 riot, during a time when deployment of federal resources for civil unrest was unpopular with Democrats and many members of Congress.
The three sources who confirmed the discussion to the Daily Caller did so under the condition of anonymity, citing the fear of putting a chill on further witnesses to how the security situation unfolded Jan. 6. The discussion, if accurate, raises questions as to what role Pelosi’s office had in the security failures that resulted in the resignations of both Irving and former Chief of Capitol Police Steven Sund. Pelosi’s Deputy Chief of Staff Drew Hammill did not deny the allegations in a statement to the Daily Caller.
America deserves to know what Nancy knew, and when she knew it. There is way more to this story than the media is telling the American people.
This is not to say that there were not Trump supporters who were out of line … but we need to hear the WHOLE story, we can not let a lie tear this country apart and be used to dehumanize half the nation!
