After Bill de Blasio, the worst mayor of New York City ever, announced that the city was going to mandate vaccine passports to get into restaurants, gymnasiums and other events, a Republican senator crafted a bill that would make it mandatory for all states that use a vaccine passport system to also use voter ID. “OHMYGOD!” the leftists will scream.
The New York City government’s (papers please) vaccine passport that they gave the flowery title “Key to NYC Pass,” will go into effect later this month and it will include employees of businesses using it.
Listen up New Yorkers, if you believe in freedom and liberty and the right as a rational thinking adult to live in a Constitutional republic, then you need to move out of New York City. Do it now and take your tax dollars with you.
With a clown for a mayor like Bill de Blasio that Democrat liberals in your city will always put another one like him in place, who destroyed your city and who made things worse than when David Dinkins was there for goodness’ sake, who praised Black Lives Matter terrorists after the destruction of businesses and people’s private property through a summer of riots, who locked you down and bankrupted you for over a year, to now tell you that you have to show proof that you’ve been vaccinated to live your life, you need to get the hell out.

The New York Post pointed out that this scheme “marks a significant escalation of the city’s efforts to curb the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases driven by the Delta variant, and will launch in mid-August and enforcement will begin in September following a public service announcement campaign, administration officials said.”
The Post’s report identifies that there is no option to produce a negative test and the unvaccinated will be forced to eat and drink outdoors only.
This is not only catastrophic for the freedoms and liberties of individual customers, but think about the business owners who did absolutely nothing wrong. The Democrats are going to punish them even further with these draconian measures. What happens when winter comes and people don’t want to eat outside of a restaurant in the freezing cold? Why was that not even considered? Why are the Democrats in control going to punish a restaurant owner with a loss of revenue when they did nothing wrong? What the heck did the restaurant owners do to deserve that? These questions need to be answered by elected politicians who inflict this kind of harm on their own constituents.
Bill de Blasio declared last week “We’ve got to shake people at this point and say, ‘Come on now.’ We tried voluntary. We could not have been more kind and compassionate. Free testing, everywhere you turn, incentives, friendly, warm embrace. The voluntary phase is over. It’s time for mandates, because it’s the only way to protect our people.”
New York is now pitting two different groups of Americans against each other and treating one group differently. A Constitutional lawyer would say that’s a violation of the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause. Where are the lawyers?
Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) realized that in jurisdictions (read blue) that subject their constituents to vaccine passports, people can still vote without showing ID. So the message by the Democratic Party is they can force you to prove that you’re vaccinated to live a normal life but the same people are not allowed to have free and fair elections by protecting their vote through voter ID to say who represents them and whether or not they want people representing them who are going to force dictatorial measures like vaccine passports on them.
“If states that take federal money for elections feel the need to make residents verify a piece of information as private as their vaccination status just to return to normalcy, then they should have no problem requiring people to prove they are who they say they are when they go to vote,” Cramer said in a statement.
Cramer also said his bill “would ensure that those states are consistent in their identification requirements and shine a light on those who hypocritically oppose voter ID laws but support vaccine passports.”

When asked about the vaccine passport mandate in New York, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki expressed support, dismissing Peter Doocy’s, rejecting Fox’s Peter Doocy’s point that a lot of Americans are waiting for the FDA to actually approve the vaccines or that millions of them just do not want the vaccine for religious or medical reasons.
