On Thursday, we reported about an unconstitutional move by the Capitol Police to expand beyond the Capitol to open up field offices around the country.
One of the biggest problems we all should have about this action is that the Capitol Police are federal, but unlike other federal law enforcement agencies, the Capitol Police are not subject to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) inquiries and are not part of the Executive Branch. In fact, they are under the control of Nancy Pelosi.
So we have a radical leftist Speaker of the House who took it upon herself to play politics with the Capitol Police and apparently they are only beholden to Nancy Pelosi. It can’t possibly be Constitutional to expand the “Capitol” police’s jurisdiction to outside the “Capitol.”
But she’s doing it anyway, and it’s because she realizes people are not taking the whole January 6 “insurrection” chanting seriously. Most people know the riot was a one-off event and they also understand that there’s a real cover-up going on about the events of that day like the government not releasing 14,000 hours of video, witnesses saying that Capitol Police started attacking peaceful protesters, they still won’t give out the name of the Capitol Police officer who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran who didn’t pose a threat to anyone, and much more.
The Democrats are using the January 6 riot at the Capitol in any way they can to degrade and humiliate Republican members of Congress all the way to the 2022 midterm elections. It is beyond abuse of power.
If you so far don’t have a problem with this, maybe the next bit of information will put you over the edge.
As we reported, the Capitol Police are doing their first expansion by creating field offices in California and Florida.
However, new information has come up about how they are going to be equipped with military surveillance equipment and the goal is to make them an intelligence-based “protective” agency. Some privacy rights advocates are setting off alarm bells at this discovery. Employing battlefield technology in Pelosi’s new federal national police force is a frightening prospect.
According to the Washington Times:
Defense Secretary Loyd (sic) Austin recently approved the Capitol Police’s request for eight Persistent Surveillance Systems Ground – Medium (PSSG-M) units. The system provides high-definition surveillance video and is enabled with night vision. The system does not include facial recognition capabilities, according to the Pentagon.
“This technology will be integrated with existing USCP camera infrastructure, providing greater high definition surveillance capacity to meet steady-state mission requirements and help identify emerging threats,” the Pentagon said.
The technology, originally used by the U.S. troops during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, allows the user to monitor large areas 24/7 through extremely high-resolution cameras.
The technology can be used to develop a “pattern of life” analysis on so-called enemy combatants or intelligence targets in war zones. What does that mean? It means if the military uses this equipment they can figure out who planted an IED device. Why does Nancy Pelosi need something like that in states?
Now, the Army has agreed to teach the Capitol Police on how to use the military technology. What the heck is going on? Where are the Republicans? Where are members of the press? Can you imagine if a Republican Speaker tried to pull this off?
Does It look like Pelosi is setting up a military-grade system for spying on large areas of people like maybe protests or possibly candidate rallies? There is no way the Democrats can justify doing any of this, especially based on a riot that lasted two-and-a-half hours. Members of Congress do not need Capitol Police in field offices across the United States.
It is looking more and more like Pelosi is preparing for unrest, and since even she has to know that what happened on January 6 is not how conservatives normally behave. So then why is she preparing a new expansion of Capitol Police in states so that they can spy on American citizens? Was the Constitution even consulted before the Speaker planned this? It smells like tyranny.
Apparently the Democrats want you to believe that evil Qanan conspiracy theorists are going on the attack and they want to get to the bottom of it even though they refuse to release video footage or any information about who set the pipe bombs outside the Republican and Democrats headquarters in DC before January 6.
The Times also said:
“Last month, a Federal Appeals Court ruled against a Baltimore Police Department’s use of persistent surveillance technology similar to the Pentagon’s ‘Gorgon Stare’ technology, which incorporates wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) technology pods mounted on aircraft. The system allowed police to track hundreds of moving targets at once throughout a large geographical footprint. The court said the program was unconstitutional and violated the Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable search and seizure.”
This needs to be stopped or else we have a real-world Orwellian situation on our hands. The Department of Defense is working with the Speaker of the House to create a surveillance system that would make Vladimir Putin happy.
