Dr Fauci has been caught lying to Congress while under oath. That is a serious charge. The question is, will the majority party vote to charge him or vore to cover up2 his crime?
He told Congress that his NIH did not fund gain-of-function research on coronaviruses. But, now the NIH confirms that they did indeed fund the research that could have aided the worldwide pandemic. That is proof that Fauci lied.
Mark Meadows is speaking out about this:
Meadows and Bannon pointed to The Gateway Pundit post from last night.
Mark Meadows added this, “If you look at some of the emails Dr. Fauci had from 2020 when this whole thing was coming out, there was some concern about this gain-of-function research even back then. I can tell you, in the book we talk about this. But Dr. Fauci was real strong when we cut off, when Donald Trump and I cut off the funding to the Wuhan lab. That wasn’t the end of the story. He was there advocating and he was doing that in spite of knowing that there was some questions about gain-of-function research in China. So they need to the bottom of this… They need to get to the bottom of this and hold Dr. Fauci accountable in this whole, “Well, we made a mistake.” In my belief it was intentional and at best they need to be held accountable for their actions.
Gain-of-function research takes viruses from animals and then engineers them for humans. They are allegedly modified to be used for the development of therapeutics and vaccines. However, the Obama/Biden administration banned gain-of-function research in 2014.
Both Fauci and Collins have denied approving grants for the controversial research through EcoHealth Alliance, Inc. and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, but a letter from NIH Principal Deputy Director Lawrence Tabak to House Oversight Committee ranking Republican James Comer contradicts their testimony.
“NIH — and specifically, Collins, Fauci, and Tabak — lied to Congress, lied to the press, and lied to the public,” says Dr. Richard H. Ebright, Board of Governors professor at Rutgers University’s Waksman Institute of Microbiology. “Knowingly. Willfully. Brazenly.”
The letter from Tabak describes the results of a limited experiment, where “laboratory mice infected with [a modified bat coronavirus] became sicker than those infected with the [original] bat coronavirus.”
“As sometimes occurs in science, this was an unexpected result of the research, as opposed to something that the researchers set out to do,” Tabak said. “Regardless, the viruses being studied under this grant were genetically very distant from SARS-CoV-2,” the virus that causes COVID-19.
