Patricia Cornwall has been arrested for assaulting a man and spitting him as well as injuring a couple of the flight crew after she went off on a rant because a man was not wearing his mask as he was eating. Ironically, she was not wearing her mask either. Cornwall has had an interesting career. She was formerly a cheerleader for the Raiders and later became a Playboy model. She then landed a part on Baywatch. Currently, she is starring in America’s Most Wanted. Not really, but it does fit.
The Atlanta Police Department put out this statement:
“This disturbance led to the injury of fellow passengers and Delta employees. Based on the statements gathered and visible evidence, officers detained Ms Cornwall and contacted the on-call FBI agent. The officers then relocated with Ms. Cornwall to the domestic Atlanta Police precinct where FBI agents responded and took custody of Ms. Cornwall.”
Video of the incident shows Ms. Cornwall standing over an elderly male passenger, telling him to mask up. The 80-year-old man explained that he was eating. Cornwall then slapped the man’s face. A flight attendant grabbed her arm and Cornwall had her hand balled up in a fist when a second attendant tried to use an isle cart in an effort to separate her from the old man. As the attendant was trying to constrain her, Cornwall bent over and appeared to spit in the man’s face.

In a statement, Delta Air Lines said it would not tolerate such behaviour.
“Flight 2790 from Tampa to Atlanta was met by law enforcement after an unruly customer disturbance during flight,” the airline told 11 Alive. “Situations like these are rare for the vast majority of our customers and Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior at our airports and aboard our aircraft.”
Since the Covid-19 pandemic began, the federal mask requirement on airlines has become a huge focus of disruptive behavior. Over the past year, there have been 5,779 unruly passenger reports, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Of those, 4,156 were mask-related.
Cornwall has been arrested for assault after the incident.
