The Republican National Committee is scheduled to vote to censure Liz Cheney and AdamKinzinger today. The committee that put forth the resolution was unanimous. Both were part of the ten RINOs who voted to impeach President Trump and both serve on Nancy Pelosi’s illegal J6 Committee. Both will also be out of office by this time next year. Kinzinger is one of three who have decided not to even bother to run and Cheney is hugely unpopular in her state.
Some Democrats claim Cheney can win in a state that Trump won by 40 points. Right, and the Fred’s Cleaners T-ball team will beat the Yankees in the World Series next year. And to be censored by the RNC won’t help her cause as all of the Republicans who aren’t RINOs will not support her.
RNC resolutions committee unanimously passes resolution to censure Cheney, Kinzinger, while stopping short of expulsion call, per @pnjaban . Likely to pass full body tomorrow

Cheney declared in a statement:
“The leaders of the Republican Party have made themselves willing hostages to a man who admits he tried to overturn a presidential election and suggests he would pardon Jan. 6 defendants, some of whom have been charged with seditious conspiracy. I’m a constitutional conservative and I do not recognize those in my party who have abandoned the Constitution to embrace Donald Trump. History will be their judge. I will never stop fighting for our constitutional republic. No matter what.”
The two lawmakers targeted by the resolution have both been vociferous critics of former President Donald Trump.
Last year, Cheney was ousted from her role as House Republican conference chair.
Cheney and Kinzinger are the only two Republicans serving on the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. They were also both numbered among the 10 House Republicans who voted in favor of impeaching then-President Trump last year in the wake of the Jan. 6 episode.
