ICYMI| It looks like Rand Paul’s persistence and patience have paid off, as the Kentucky Senator takes yet another victory lap around the mainstream media this week.
Earlier this week, Paul snapped at ‘snot-nosed journalists’ who mocked him previously for insisting that people who have already had Covid should not be forced to receive the vaccine.
Paul sighted their natural antibodies would serve them better than the vaccine—And a report by Yale concluded that Paul was correct.
A new report from The Intercept exposed multiple correspondences that reportedly proved Dr. Anthany Fauci, the so-called pandemic expert, lied dozens of times. Previously, Paul accused Fauci of lying about US money being used in ‘gain of function’ research at the Wuhan lab.
Paul told lawmakers that he had inside Intel that claimed Fauci lied when he denied funding was ever sent in support of gain of function research in China.
Last June Paul dropped the news about his Intel and the media mocked him. He even confronted Fauci during last summer’s hearing. “You are implying that what we did resulted in the deaths of individuals,” Fauci said back during that hearing while pointing his finger at Paul. “I totally resent that, and if anyone is lying here, senator, it is you.”
But it looks like Paul gets the last laugh, again after the Intercept released a report that revealed the U.S. government pumped $3.1 million into American health organization EcoHealth Alliance to back bat coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).
According to the report, almost $600,000 of that federal money was partially used by the WIV to find and alter bat coronaviruses that could jump to humans and infect them.
Additionally, the documents revealed that experimental research on genetically engineered mice with human cell receptors was conducted at the Wuhan University Center for Animal Experiment, and not the WIV as previously thought.
When asked about charges Fauci could face for lying Paul said, “it’s a felony punishable by five years in jail. We’ve referred it to the Department of Justice.
I don’t think Biden’s Department of Justice will do anything with it but yes, it is very dangerous to have public officials who we need to have trust in coming and lying to us, but he has lied dozens of times”.
Paul continued, “Usually, he tells us that it’s for our own good but yes, he has dissembled, he has obfuscated—there’s other nicer words—but he has definitely lied to the American public and he should be held responsible but not just that.”
“The judgment that we should continue to fund this lab and—that the virus in all likelihood came from the lab. I think it’s such incredibly poor judgment that he should be immediately removed,” Paul concluded.
“The documents make it clear that assertions by the NIH Director, Francis Collins, and the NIAID Director, Anthony Fauci, that the NIH did not support gain-of-function research or potential pandemic pathogen enhancement at WIV are untruthful,” Rutgers University chemical biology professor Richard Ebright wrote in a Tuesday Twitter thread.
Paul is serious and is spearheading a campaign to have Fauci removed. Fauci could still face criminal charges which is another aspect that Paul intends to pursue.
