The biggest enemy the Democrats have is not the Republicans, it’s the constitution. It’s the constitution that prevents the Democrats from controlling every aspect of your life. That is why for years they have alternately tried to weaken or destroy it. The very thing that set us apart from other countries and allowed us to grow and prosper is the constitution.
The war on the constitution has come to The View, where it has never been popular. Their special guest was Elie Mystal, activist, author, and leading correspondent for “The Nation”. He went on one of his typical rants against the foundation of this country when he declared that the constitution is certainly not sacred, let’s start there. The Constitution is kind of trash. Let’s just talk as adults for a second. Even radical leftist Joy Behar was taken back by Mystal.
But, then Behar recovers nicely, says trash, and then accepts it as truth personified. No one can ever accuse her of being slow to bask America or its founding principles. While it is true that when the constitution was written most of the Southern Founding fathers were slave owners, but today it is the constitution that guarantees minorities equal rights and equal access under the law.
On Friday, activist author and leading correspondent for “The Nation” Elie Mystal joined ABC’S ‘The View’ and slandered the U.S. Constitution, calling it “trash” because it was written by “slavers and colonists,” who are – white.
While discussing his new book: “Allow Me to Retort: A Black Guy’s Guide to the Constitution,” Mystal did not hold back when he was asked directly by host Ana Navarro if the book is meant to be a call for “throwing away the Constitution.”
“Should the Constitution be thrown out? What do we do? Is it a living document or a sacred document? Navarro asked.
According to Mystal, the Constitution is not “sacred.” Instead, he says, it’s trash, making no attempt to push back at Navarro’s interpretation of his book.
Even rabid leftist Joy Behar is taken aback by Mystal’s pointed attack, and asks him to clarify.
“What did you say? It’s what?” Behar asks
“It’s kind of trash,” Mystal emphasizes.
