The Texas Republican Party approved a resolution claiming that Biden is an illegitimate president. The Democrats will complain, but they said the same thing about George W. Bush and President Donald Trump.
Their memory will fail them at that point, but mine won’t. II admit though that the situation is much different between the accusations.
Three people have pleaded guilty to illegal ballot harvesting in 2020 and there are no such guilty pleas in the cases of Bush and Trump
The party found:
“We believe that the 2020 election violated Article 1 and 2 of the US Constitution, that 1582 various secretaries of state illegally circumvented their state legislatures in conducting their elections in 1583 multiple ways. We reject the certified results of the 2020 Presidential election, and we hold that acting President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was not legitimately elected by the people of the United States.”
“We strongly urge all Republicans to work to ensure election integrity and to show up to vote in November of 2022, bring your friends and family, volunteer for your local Republicans and overwhelm any possible fraud.”
“Homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice. No one should be granted special legal status based on 804 their LGBTQ+ identification.” The platform also opposes “all efforts to validate transgender identity.”
The Texas Republican Party approved a resolution contending that President Biden’s victory in the 2020 election was illegitimate, at the Texas Republican Convention in Houston this weekend.
The Texas GOP platform was posted online on Sunday, at the conclusion of the convention. Included were resolutions declaring the 2020 elections illegitimate, and condemning Senator John Cornyn (R., Texas) over his role in recent bipartisan negotiations on gun legislation.
Texas GOP communications director James Wesolek said the elections and gun control resolutions were approved by voice vote, in comments to the New York Times.
At the convention itself, Cornyn was booed over gun control legislation while giving a speech. Cornyn and Senator Chris Murphy (D., Conn.) have led negotiations over a new potential federal gun law that would include funding to help states implement “red flag” laws and additional funds for mental-health programs.
Cornyn is just another RINO that needs to ride off into the sunset.
